Cheap Blueteeth
1If you have a Five Below store near you, you might want to check it out to see if they have these Bluetooth earbuds and/or speakers. The earbuds are $5 and come in black, blue or pink. The tower speaker is $5 with a purchase of $35+. It allegedly retails for $40 elsewhere. Since I bought 10 backpacks at $5/each to donate to “Stuff-A-Bus”, I qualified to purchase a speaker (which I will be donating to a charity auction). I haven’t tried the speaker, but one of the sales associates said the sound was pretty decent. I bought the earbuds for myself and must say they are better than I expected, especially for the price. They look remarkably like discontinued ones from Brookstone that sold for a lot more, but maybe it’s just a coincidence. I like to listen to the radio or music during lunch via Bluetooth and find the sound quality at least as good as a Sony Bluetooth earbud I got when the stores were being liquidated. Both the speaker and earbuds are from the same company Bass Jaxx, in case Meh would like to buy some in bulk.

The blue teeth will go well with my blue milk
In my experience, Electronics from 5 below suck and are low quality
@communist That’s been my experience too, but thought this was worth a shot. I lost my Bose earbud and didn’t want to spend a lot on a replacement and lose another one. While these aren’t Bose, if they get lost I won’t feel as bad.
Did you say Basement Jaxx?
I wonder if it’s because many of the products they sell can’t meet Prop 65 requirements for disclosure of cancer causing substances, formaldehyde in wood or composite materials, or high lead levels …
@narfcake Must be. Five below is all cheap stuff from China.
@ELUNO That may be true, but it’s a very handy store to have around when you want to buy a boatload of school supplies for a local charity. Some of the $5 backpacks aren’t too bad. Last year I was able to stock up on some fairly decent Christmas gifts for charities as well.
@heartny Oh no, I love going every once in a while. That’s where I get most of my White Elephant gifts. I just meant said it to explain the possible chemicals it might have. This would be the extreme opposite of organic.
@ELUNO Gotcha. There are a lot of categories of merchandise I would never buy there, especially toiletries and cosmetics. Food is suspect too. I much prefer Whole Paycheck, uh, II mean Whole Foods.
