Got the bag when it was a two-fer. Fits my 14” MacBook Pro perfectly, nice and padded. Only complaint is that the strap is cheap feeling and attached with nylon, not metal, so that’s going to be a failure point.
Adding 2 so I’m now up to 5 of these damn cases. Plus I just bought a sleeve because…5 bucks. They really are very useful. Only complaint is they all look alike so I never know which laptop I’m grabbing. Why do I have 5 laptops anyway? And why can’t they play nice and share a case? Because…5 bucks, I guess. Probably end up buying another couple in the morning if they don’t sell out. Please sell out.
Damn. Waited until the next day and still not sold out. 2 more sleeves and a bag. I wonder if I can convince daughter that Case Logic made diaper bags and I bought her one?
@agnesnutter Apple says the MBA is 13.4" x 9.35". Up above it says the bag can hold a laptop that is 13.5" x 9.6". Maybe it’ll be too snug. But, if so, I’ve only wasted five bucks. That’s assuming I even buy the computer. That might be a waste of a whole lot more than five bucks. I’ve been getting along mostly fine with a Mac Studio at home and an iPad out and about.
@lmtheisinger804 And the negative reviews on the sleeves state that with a 17" laptop that the sleeve won’t zip and the zipper is against the laptop. You despite the claim of 17.3" it’s not on the inside.
@lmtheisinger804 Mine has a thin bezel, but I expect it to not work. I bought the sleeve for a laptop I keep around only because it has a DVD/CD burner and I can burn and rip CDs and DVDs with it.
Got 2 last time. Gave both away when kids needed them. I’ve got a tablet that needs some protection, and for $5 each having these available is worth it. In for 2 sleeves 1 bag.
I ordered the two pack of sleeves a few weeks ago. It arrived at my house the day after I left to visit my folks in FL. I will get to see them tonight. probably ordering a case, just because.
@dave Hmm and here I thought the “game” was meh trying to get us to part with our money.
So is this commentary going to be a daily feature of the “new” meh product threads? Is this the meh employee click face equivalent?
I am sure these will increase the number of humorous and/or snarky comments in the future in these threads. I mean this is meh and so of course many of our comments are… just… because.
@haskins187 Very concerned about your theory not holding up; over 2700 sold already. I have some good quality laptop backpacks and use this style more, though I prefer the better grade “messenger bag” style. I got some high-end ones (either heavy cotton or leather) and they are super-impressive if going to a lawyer meeting or something, but weight about 10 lbs before anything is in them. You won’t have that problem with this $5 bag.
@haskins187@pmarin When my kid (adopted at 10 and some things you can not fix) and/or foster kid disrupting out of someone else’s adoption got into trouble at school (frequently like nearly weekly) I’d wear my power suit decked out with a leather messenger bag I found in a thrift store to the meeting. Then I’d pull out my laptop. They’d be intimidated when I did that. Help them stick with the IDEA (the special ed law) accommodations both kids had that they were very reluctant to follow (and would have helped keep both of them out of trouble). There is a time and a place for power suits and power accessories (says she who prefers jeans and t-shirts even if they have small cat claw holes in them).
If you are buying the sleeve beware that the one star reviews say over and over that 17" laptops don’t fit; zipper won’t close… Likely that is because the dimensions are outside ones and not inside ones (not that I have a 17" laptops but it would be nice to have one. Oh well that’s not going to happen.).
I have the sleeve. I bought it at Walmart when my old laptop sleeve fell apart in the middle jury duty a few years ago. Paid a lot more than $5. It’s held up great, so I don’t need to spend $5 on a new one.
For reference, I routinely carry a 14" or a 16" (work/personal) MacBook Pro M1 in it and both fit fine. It can also fit my old 15" MacBook Pro from 2012 which is ironically wider than the new 16" one.
@werehatrack If enough of us say it’s a word, then it is. If you study history (even like really recent history) of language, then it is. But go back 1000 years and same thing happened, just not as immediately scannable by AI. Words came into language the same way but over dozens of years.
I am all for the MoveMehnt Movement!
I thought I had a very small 14.1” laptop but went and checked right after I ordered the laptop bag. ¯_(ツ)_/¯ , but never fear , I cancelled it and bought a sleeve for my 15” laptop . Congratulations to me! -ESSO
Augh. I remember when I bought two for $10 each.
A handle ripped off (a different one on each of them), but the strap was solid and the bag itself didn’t burst. I don’t need any more… but in for one.
@pakopako Maybe. Or at least something. I just added three more lines to your first line to complete poem using your order “name”. Also I had to google what a grue was and found it was a big slug with a big fang. A big fang ought to do it.
@Kidsandliz@pakopako Grues have become a formal monster type in several games over the years. In a couple of them that I vaguely recall, there was no physical description because they only attacked in complete darkness, and fled faster than they could be seen if a torch was lit. Magic users casting fireball would invariably incite a reaction that would result in the death of the entire party, ergo no survivors to relate anything about the grue. (Urrrrp.)
I have a 16 inch MacBook Pro and it fits in the sleeve fine. However, the bag is too small. It fits in the bag but the bag cannot zip closed. Furthermore, there is no way the laptop in the sleeve could fit in the bag. A 13 or 14 inch laptop should fit in the bag just fine but would rattle around in the sleeve. So I would not purchase both expecting the same device to fit snugly in both.
@bhhales I wouldn’t use both the pouch and bag; the bag has enough separate pockets. Though the extra padding can feel nice, it’s not a great shock absorber.

I was all set to buy the bag but of course it’s too small to fit my 14.75 inch wide laptop. Hard Meh…!
I own this bag, it’s great for my fire 10 and switch. I think I already have a spare around somewhere or I would buy another.
I also used it to carry around tile samples and notes for a bathroom renovation. Hey I can look like a real adult if I try.
@sammydog01 Oh what the hell it’s five bucks.

@sammydog01 They got you!

@jakeline A guy told me that on another product. I cut one open and it had woven monofilament inside that would possibly support 100 lbs…
@andrewj there goes my plan to carry my 150 lbs of lead weights in it
(But thank you! Glad to know I don’t have to worry about that failure point)
Amazon has the price in dollars per kilogram for some reason.
@sammydog01 Means the bag’s a much better deal…
@sammydog01 Sounds so expensive that way!
@Kyeh @sammydog01 But not as bad as $303.16/lb.

Yay! Now I can buy a single one. Are these any better than the slim cheap laptop bags on Temu?
How much for a bathtub’s worth?
Do they come with extra pockets for my throwing stars?

@txag96 “I’ve got one who can SEE…”
Does the sleeve have a hard layer?
I don’t have a laptop any more. If I do get one, it’ll be a 15” MacBook Air. Apparently it’ll fit in this bag. So I guess I should buy one?
/showme shaking-alive-soldier
@SSteve It will fit in the sleeve, but reportedly not the bag, which holds up to 14.1" laptops
