I’m glad he’s carrying a cocktail. I wish he was also snuggling a puppy. If I was a billionaire my constant companions would be a French 75 and a 5 month old golden lab.
Gin, lemon juice, simple syrup, a healthy dash of champagne (or rosé if you’re trashy like me and drinking alone and also can’t finish a bottle of champagne before the bubbles expire).
Cocktail report. I made a French 75 tonight, and…well, it passes the “does this cocktail make me want to immediately make another one?” test.
But…to be blunt, and with all due respect to my beloved bosom-mate rosé, I think I’ll go with actual champagne next time. The sparkling bubbles make a world of difference. Word on the street is that you can open a bottle of champagne and finish it over 3-5 days…it will retain bubbles about that long. The freakin’ lemon juice is a problem, too. Lemons aren’t cheap, and getting a half ounce of juice out of these fuckers is a tall order.
Anyhoo, they are fun to make, tasty, and it beats paying $8-$12 to have some fancy bartender make one for me.
@UncleVinny I googled and it sounds rather tasty. I’ll have to make some soon (it will give me a reason to open some of the American “champagne” I’ve got hogging space in my wine cellar)
I’ve recently been experimenting with various Campari based drinks and have discovered that I quite like the Negroni, tho I prefer it with two parts of a non-juniper-forward gin (Hendricks, Beefeater) instead of a single part of “generic” gin.
Oh scandal wearing a swimsuit 3 times. Come on what a waste to not reward a swimsuit a bunch of times
@CaptAmehrican That is not at all what I am referring to.
I am referring to this:

Search “octopus” in the text of the article.
@CaptAmehrican - Looks like he’s wearing the same shirt too. And look, it’s getting all stained!
@CaptAmehrican I like the celebs that wear the same thing for a whole week to ruin the paparazzi’s livelihood.
@CaptAmehrican especially a $280 swimsuit.
If I had octopus shorts I would wear them every day.
@aetris can I buy HIM?
@tinamarie1974 - MAN you’re fast!
@aetris @tinamarie1974 that is supposed to be my look. Except maybe a one peice or bikini
@CaptAmehrican -
He loves the breakfast octopus. He can’t stop wondering if he made a great deal or it’s just a money pit.
That’s cool if he wants to wear the same octoshorts.
But I think he should spring for a new hat for his lady.

Plus, I just fucking love rosé.
