@Kyeh they go with anything roastbeast! If you ask the Englishman you don’t even need anything else. He’ll sit and eat a dozen with gravy on their own. I’ll give you that recipe if you’d like as well. Granted they’re definitely temperamental and environment is a factor for baking them.
@sillyheathen I think I made them once - pretty similar to Dutch baby pancakes, right?
My mother used to make them when I was a kid. But sure, I’ll take any and all recipes you’re willing to share!
My sister who just passed in September worked her culinary magic by zhuzhing up Bell’s stuffing, especially when it was turned into stuffin’ muffins, by far my favorite! It’s gonna be a rough holiday season this year.
@Kyeh Thank you. We always called ourselves the Wonder Twins cuz we were 14 months apart & practically shared a brain. We lost our older brother almost exactly a year b4 her. We had started facetiously calling ourselves “the orphans” after losing our dad a few days before Christmas 2017 & our mom passing in 2009. With all my various health issues, I def never thought I’d be the last survivor, it’s a disorienting, surreal place to be, that’s for sure!
@Kyeh@mike808 Thank you, condolences to you, too, & amen to getting old! Altho my body feels all of 80, my brain doesn’t register that I’m on the downhill side of middle age until I realize my best friend since 2nd grade has a daughter who started college this year! Oof, that’s a gut punch.
Mashed potatoes are any time do the year, sweet potato casserole is only Thanksgiving
@TheGreatNico Thank goodness!
Green bean casserole easily
Corn pudding, easy #1
All of them.
@yakkoTDI Yes, All of them. Also pie.
Cornbread dressing with grit. Not the mush bread soaked in chicken stock.
Gravy.
Inside.
I know it’s more of a main dish but my vote goes for pumpkin pie
To the folks who said stuffing, you’re wrong
Definitely gravy. Then sweet potato pie. Then stuffing.
Sweet potato pie!
Yorkshire puddings with gravy all day!
@sillyheathen Oooh, I haven’t had those in years - but I think of them as going with roast beef!

Mac and cheese. If it’s made well, that is. No boxed. Bougie Mac or gtfoh
@sourgirl88 Bougie Mac needs to be a brand name! Yum.

@ircon96
I’m sorry you’ve lost her.

@ircon96 @Kyeh Condolences. My dad passed last year, my mom a few years before that, and I’m the eldest of my siblings too. Sucks getting old.

@ircon96 @Kyeh
The good news is that you can brag about being older than Google.
@Kyeh @mike808 Wow, surprisingly that makes me feel SO much worse! You really have a knack for this!
@ircon96 Wow, that would be rough being the sole survivor! I hope your Thanksgiving is still a good one but the holidays can be tough, I know.
@Kyeh Thanks, I hope you have a great one yourself!
@ircon96 Thanks!
Left
@mike808 Indubitable.
@mike808 And leftover.
I made an “inside” joke.
Being socially awkward in public makes me feel young again. :^)
A little somethin-somethin.
