I loved t that square cardboard pizza as a kid. I’d probably hate it now that I have better taste.
In HS our pizza was personal pizzas provided by Pizza Hut or dominos or something, and was available every day.
@codechimp When I was in a school that had a cafeteria, we got McRib-look-alike sandwiches every so often. I loved them. Pretty sure they were better than the official McRib… but my memory may be shoddy. No idea what actual meat was in them, just like with the real McRib.
(The buns were also amazing; one of the things that were made in-house. Although, now that I’m older, I’m not sure if I would still think they’re so great.)
Best school cafeteria day?
SNOW day!
Pizza day!
Tater tot taco day!

Steak nuggets. Doubt it was steak, but they were damn tasty whatever meat it was.

Whenever they served Turkey, Gravy and Mashed potatoes.
Any day but Mystery Meat day.
Maybe it’s a '90’s Nebraska thing but chili and cinnamon roll day was lit.
When I was in school, the best cafeteria lunch day was one in which I had brought my own.
