Anybody affected by the Centerlink outage?
2I got an email today from my credit union saying:
Due to a damaged 250-foot fiber-optic cable in Kansas belonging to Centerlink, a debit processing provider for nationwide debit processing, some debit cards and all Transfund ATMs are currently out of service.
Repair crews are currently working to fix the issue, but the outage is affecting debit transactions for debit cards issued by financial institutions nationwide. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and will send out further updates as details from the Centerlink outage are released.
We apologize for any inconvenience this outage may cause, and we will continue to work diligently with our debit processor to bring the affected services back online as soon as possible.
I guess I could go get cash from a B&M location. But fortunately, I don’t need any more right now. I was just curious how wide-spread this outage is.

Interesting. Here’s some links for you.

(The CenturyLink information is, of course, useless, but DownDetector has some interesting data, especially in the comments. It may be a fiber cut in Dallas, TX.)
I’m off to check on Outages… Maybe there’s something interesting there as well.
@Shrdlu Thanks
