Any Comments From Anyone Who Tried Turtle Beach i60 Headphones?

To all who bought and have used their i60 headphones, what do you think?

Here’s my short review:

Unboxing pretty cool, high quality package.

Sound modes using the puck are fun, but not accurate sound. Bass heavy in “music mode” for sure. Straight stereo sonds decent, but gain is pretty low compared to other modes.

High clamping force, so uncomfortable after more than an hour for me. We were warned, but I had to try for myself. Disappointing in that regard, but ear cups are well designed.

Mine make a creaking noise if I’m talking or chewing, like they need a squirt of WD-40 or silicone spray at the pivots. Not going to do that, and if I’d bought at Best Buy I’d return/exchange them. Obviously not an option in this case. So boo!

Used with Mac and Windows 10 machines, no prob if you RTFM. For Mac, used OS X El Cap and Sierra no problem, but haven’t tried bluetooth, puck only. Windows too.

Listen to lossless or high bit rate mp3/4 on Mac mostly, haven’t tried cord yet. Schiit audio for DAC/amp, but I guess not relevant with no cord. Use Sennheiser and AKG with corded option.

What are your experiences? Overall, I’m kind of meh on these, big surprise!
