My niece’s birthday is July 4, and her employer (rhymes with “schmisney”) put her on a 14-hour shift starting at noon. She’ll be off in a half hour from now.
Waiting to see what meh does. As for me(late August) some friends and I are going to a Weird AL concert on my birthday! Woohoo! Went to one June of last year, it was awesome!
@sammydog01 Our tickets ended up costing $85.60 (with the fees, etc.), for ~17th row, maybe 20 seats to the right of center. I’d have preferred seats closer to the center, but what we got was the best available when we tried for them.
@looseneck We have an amphitheater a few miles from us that features up and comers and has-beens. Tickets are $15 to $30 including fees. Acts include Alabama, Bret Michaels, Joe Walsh, Toad the Wet Sprocket, and a slew of country singers that I won’t mention because country doesn’t seem popular here. We’re going tonight! I know, I’m spoiled.
@speediedelivery The headliner tonight was the Eli Young Band- $15 total. They were awesome! We have tickets for Jake Owen, Trace Adkins, Chris Young, Dustin Lynch, Cole Swindell, and Alabama. Alabama was the most expensive- $25 total. We get lawn seats but the reserved section is small so we got a great view.
@sammydog01 Lawn seats can be good. I saw Alabama and Toby Keith in small venues on the lawn. Worst seats I have had were nose bleed bleachers at the fair. Hard to see but still fun to go. I think I need to move to your neighborhood.
@MzSooze - Hey, my birthday is your birthday! Or vice-versa. We may never know who had it first. I prefer when it falls on a full moon Friday, so enjoy your hump day.

@cinoclav Well the Braves must have heard it was my birthday cause they won the game today! Of course it was 0-0 until the 9th inning and really looked like it was going into extra innings but they pulled it off!
I think all we just have to wait and see …

Back in April, the gf and I saw Alton Brown’s latest show for my birthday (her treat), tho the two events were separated by about three weeks.

@baqui63 No. Red Bank NJ at the Count Basie Theater. I wanted to see him in Morristown but those tickets were sold out as soon as they hit.
