Financially annoying but expected that since I stopped working. Got a surprise assessment for fire sprinkler upgrade to a place me and my late mother owned. A landscaping project I thought I already paid for needs more money. Yes these are “first world” problems and can’t (or try not to be) upset about it.
My COBRA health care is about to run out and I will be in the Medicare gap before I can claim that in a few years, if it’s still there. Thinking of signing up for Social Security early (at reduced rate) just to get into system in case it goes away soon.
And despite all that, things are not so bad. My mother always focused on words like “worry” and “fear” and I’m trying to stay away from those thoughts as much as possible.
@pmarin I can’t imagine Social Security going away even with the seemingly indiscriminate firings and budget slashing going on. It’s a clear way for a politician to never get elected again and a way to start the next Revolutionary War. Too bad I sold my two 18th century replica muskets. I was down to about 15 seconds to load and fire!
@macromeh What an awful case to be on, but you did what had to be done as a jurist (or potential jurist) to achieve justice. I’ve come to appreciate being on jury duty for that reason.
Dr called me this morning with my bloodwork results for mono and they haven’t gone down at all in the past month. So now I have to go see my hematologist to see what’s going on. I’m always that person, if it can happen to somebody it happens to me.
@Star2236 Oh, sorry to hear that. Sometimes the doctors are good though but can be frustrating figuring things out. I was hospitalized last year and one thing was they took blood samples every 4 hours, even when I finally did get to sleep (you don’t sleep through a nurse taking a blood sample though).
Yep.
Meh
@cengland0

I’d say seconded, but I think I’m with @heartny and it’s actually squared…

What? Where did February go? I just laid down for a short nap.

@pmarin My Manber is pretty good so far. I’m just glad that the year-long Jandewy is over, Figbrey too because it was so cold.
@ItalianScallion yeah don’t whip out your Manber (if applicable) in the cold; might be some disappointing shrinkage.
Tough 2 days. But will get through the next 29 days with help.

Meh. I’m on the hook for jury duty for March+April. The last (only) time, the experience was horrible (father/daughter molestation case).

Things could be better, 2 days of puking my brains out has gotten old!
