@cengland0 I legit thought the handcuff photo was another real example provided by the manufacturer until I realized it was the final picture. Nicely done, Meh!
@yakkoTDI Nice find!
I guess I’m still testy about this recent posting and I incorrectly assumed they were bringing speakerdocks back. I miss those days.
@Kerig3@yakkoTDI That’s an absolutely brilliant way to go about it instead of doing nothing but sending cease & desist letters. (I’m sure they do those to, kind of have to sometimes.) I certainly think better of the brand now than I did before those two videos.
@ircon96@Kerig3@swalthew@yakkoTDI, me too! Sorry about this post…I was just checking out my new ‘Smarter’ phone!! My old Moto phone was too dumb,…even for me! Anyway, My Bad!!
@hchavers « Pedro Almodóvar’s colorful and controversial tribute to the pleasures and perils of Stockholm syndrome, TIE ME UP! TIE ME DOWN! is a rambunctious dark comedy starring Antonio Banderas as an unbalanced but alluring ex-mental-patient and Victoria Abril as the B-movie and former porn star he takes prisoner in the hopes of convincing her to marry him. «
Sounds right for this crowd.
Available now on Criterion.
@cinoclav I have the same ones as you but when using them on larger items like 100’ extension cords, they don’t work too well. Sure you can use multiple ones but today’s product is better suited for those and I have a ton of extension cords. When the power goes out I have to fire up the generators and plug in the important things using extension cords: Fridge, freezer, network closet, and entertainment system.
@cengland0@cinoclav I think there’s definitely a use case for each. I use plenty of the smaller, lightweight ones, but I think these sturdier, grommeted fuckers have their place.
@joelmw The smaller ones pictured above are good for short network cables, usb cables, and other thin wires. They aren’t so good at thick and long cables like a 100’ power extension cable or even a short 25’ 8 gauge fat extension.
I bought them so I can easily pull out one cable at a time from my box of extension cables which is currently a mess.
@cinoclav I use similar ones, turns out they’re actually Velcro branded. I got the all black package and they hold very well, you can combine them to use on thicker cables just fine. They used to be around the same price ($6.85 in 2016), but are nearly double that now.
I’m not even halfway through the pack of 100 I last bought, they last me a long time.
These things are damned useful. You’ll get it when you start using them. Zip and twist ties are not even in the same ballpark of convenience and, if you USED to do the cord bundling routine where you wrap it around your arm, squish it together, coil one end around the bundle, and then through the loops, and cinch - method, these things are a real time-saver for organizing long and bulky cords.
@aolshove I got mine in. They are a distant (like third cousin) knockoff of the Wrap It strips. I have like two Wrap It branded, then a handful of Amazon knockoffs that are essentially equivalent in fit and finish. And now I have these. Where the Wrap Its and Amazon versions are nylon webbing with velcrohook and loop sewn on, these are plastic backed nylon canvas like a dollar store grill cover, with nylon webbing folded around the edges. Because of the way they are sewn or the way they are packaged (or both) they don’t lay flat. They should do just fine to hold cords, but they reek of jankiness. At $16 for two boxes, there seems to be room for $13-14 in profit.
I hope that the Bells and Howells were compensated enough for having their names associated with the products made with their names on them now.
@djslack@zachhh Sadly, I have to agree. I got mine yesterday and am disappointed by the lack of quality comparing to the Wrap-It brand. These are cheap knock-offs and I won’t be buying again.
Good for hanging extension cords off that furring strip that just has a bunch of nails in it. Other than that, probably won’t help me organize anything other than less money in my wallet.
Nice going meh, you wait until I buy these for 24 for $16 then you have a 3-hour sale on Morningsave for half the quantity at half the price.
12 of these would have been sufficient for me so if I was given the choice, I would have bought the Morningsave version and used my VMP privileges too.
@onae Yes, me too. Or just one pack because I don’t need 24 because I planned on using them for extension cords only and I don’t have that many. They are too big for earphone cables and things like that even though the sales demo video showed them using them that way.
Side deal has a single twelve-pack for $10. Using a $5 IRKoupon (which, yes, is really just Money I Already Spent), I got twelve of them for a current out-of-pocket of $5. Dunno when they’ll show up.
Meanwhile, I’m going through a bunch of regular velcro straps in my quest for a cable-storage bin from which one item can be removed at a time.

Cable BDSM!!!
@yakkoTDI Geez, you think you know a classic daily deal site.
If you got yourself in this situation, you’re probably using these wrong.
@cengland0 According to the infomercial, self bondage as well !
@cengland0 I legit thought the handcuff photo was another real example provided by the manufacturer until I realized it was the final picture. Nicely done, Meh!
@cengland0 @earl_danger @Dakini Bell is pretty vanilla but I’ve heard Howell has a kinky streak.
@djslack Howell does ring the Bell
Sure!

Although a miracle of the space race, in the 21st century it doesn’t get more MEH than an offering of velcro strips…for $16.
@Kerig3 Don’t say Velcro!
@yakkoTDI Nice find!
I guess I’m still testy about this recent posting and I incorrectly assumed they were bringing speakerdocks back. I miss those days.
@Kerig3 @yakkoTDI This follow up video is hilarious, it’s like a musical version of Kimmel’s Mean Tweets:
@ircon96 @Kerig3 @yakkoTDI OMG I had to run to the bathroom for a Kleenex. And release the hostage I had wrapped up with Saran wrap.
@Kerig3 @yakkoTDI That’s an absolutely brilliant way to go about it instead of doing nothing but sending cease & desist letters. (I’m sure they do those to, kind of have to sometimes.) I certainly think better of the brand now than I did before those two videos.
@Kerig3 @yakko @ircon96 TDI Wow, how have I never seen this before?
@ircon96 @Kerig3 @yakkoTDI
Another good one.
@ircon96 @Kerig3 @swalthew @yakkoTDI
Did you use Scotch Tape® or Duck Tape® to seal the ends.
@Kerig3 @yakkoTDI We need these, Meh!!!
@GLaDOS @Kerig3 @yakkoTDI
MorningSave just happens to have them.
@ircon96 @Kerig3 @swalthew @yakkoTDI, me too! Sorry about this post…I was just checking out my new ‘Smarter’ phone!! My old Moto phone was too dumb,…even for me! Anyway, My Bad!!

@hchavers @pmarin, Antonio IS an unbalanced ex-mental patient! He was a patient in a mental ward in San ANTONIO, Tx!!
I use straps like this for yard equipment as well, hanging longere items like string trimmer, pole saw, and hedge trimmers.
5 bucks off with another irk coupon!
/giphy rejoicing snobby llama
@somf69 Wow, /giphy actually came thru that time… Get your affairs in order, it must be a sign of the Mehpocalypse!
Is this now the “Meh & How We’ll Buy” brand?
I’m a DJ and a wood worker so this shit is gold. Life saver for sure. One thing I’m not sure though, do these have Bluetooth?
@bugger are they mac-compatible?
@bugger You play music at a strip club?
@plymouthdave I do use a Mac so that’s a GREAT question!!
Hey! I’ve got this thing that hangs on a hook. Let’s add another step to hanging it on a hook. Thank you for the most meh Meh.
@rrapnek But now it can hang on a smaller hook!
@Kyeh @rrapnek
and when you take it down it won’t get all tangled up…
Now I can finally put away my magnum dong
@mexicantacos
Does Tom Selleck know you have that?
if it says bell and howell, there’s def a small shipping and handling fee, a free film camera and a windows 3.1 internet appliance thrown in. Sold!
@markkorn Don’t forget the blue blocker safety glasses
Someone is being horny on main.
@PersonandStuff
“What’s your problem, honk?”
I use something like these. 120 pieces for $6 and change. You can combine them to make them longer if need be.
@cinoclav These and the (actual) Velcro straps with the hard plastic loop are my go to.
@cinoclav yes and this type stays on the cord automatically.
@cinoclav Or just a roll of the stuff, if you’re really feeling cheap.
@cengland0 @cinoclav I think there’s definitely a use case for each. I use plenty of the smaller, lightweight ones, but I think these sturdier, grommeted fuckers have their place.

They look good to me!

@mehmoth Holy schnikees, that baby is scary! Kinda reminds me of Richard Ramirez.
@ircon96 @mehmoth night stalker baby. Nice. Needs the hoodie
@bugger @mehmoth A hoodie would certainly complete the resemblance!
@ircon96 @mehmoth That’s my thoughts as well. I miss Richard Ramirez
@bugger @mehmoth Yeah, they don’t make serial killers like they used to!
@bugger @ircon96 It’s the smile at the end that really makes the sociopath!
@bugger @mehmoth So true!
Twist ties are cheaper…
@werekong hell, they’re free with bread.
These things are cool if you need the eyelet to hang on a hook or something.
Last picture…All ready for the trunk?..Anyone?
@detailer I’m ready for her “trunk” cuz there’s no Junk In That Trunk! More like Dangerous Curves Ahead! Yikes!!
These things are damned useful. You’ll get it when you start using them. Basically, these are a rip-off of the original “Wrap-It” straps (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06Y5Q4VZD) but instead of 6 for $16 you get 24 for $16!
/giphy complex-grizzly-waffle
@aolshove I don’t use the method of wrapping it around my arm. I use the over-worked, under-paid system like in this video.
@aolshove @cengland0 This works, and needs to be more well known.
@aolshove @cengland0 I am a dedicated roadie wrap guy. Down to my earbuds. Never heard the overworked and underpaid mnemonic though, that’s handy!
@cengland0 Thanks for that!
@aolshove I got mine in. They are a distant (like third cousin) knockoff of the Wrap It strips. I have like two Wrap It branded, then a handful of Amazon knockoffs that are essentially equivalent in fit and finish. And now I have these. Where the Wrap Its and Amazon versions are nylon webbing with

@aolshove @djslack Yep. Just got mine too. They shouldn’t be used to hold up anything that weighs much at all. Bad purchase.
@djslack @zachhh Sadly, I have to agree. I got mine yesterday and am disappointed by the lack of quality comparing to the Wrap-It brand. These are cheap knock-offs and I won’t be buying again.

12 of these would have been sufficient for me so if I was given the choice, I would have bought the Morningsave version and used my VMP privileges too.
@cengland0 Huh, now I really feel like a sucker
I would have probably bought one pack of each for color coding.
@onae Yes, me too. Or just one pack because I don’t need 24 because I planned on using them for extension cords only and I don’t have that many. They are too big for earphone cables and things like that even though the sales demo video showed them using them that way.
@onae better yet, I could have used the dogdays coupon code to save 15%.
Did anybody get them yet ?
@scfd0766 There is one post above where the member states they got it.
https://meh.com/forum/topics/24-pack-bell-howell-storage-wrap-cord-organizers#630009eda5868c95ac9f8c61
