@jasneko I appreciate your designs actually being positive - a lot of the others are depressingly dark! Kind of a bummer that people feel like they have to snarky about it.
AND I think yours are just really nice.

@Kyeh Aw well that makes me feel glad for what I eventually submitted - I mulled over some darker design ideas too (and even started a few), but then I finally decided to sway in a more cheerful direction (mostly!). And glad you like them

@Star2236 Thanks so much! Just curious- do you like it on the heather gray? I originally made it on kelly green and then switched at the last moment.

I think with the gray the design stands out more as opposed to if you had it on the Kelly green it would blend to much bc that shad of green is already very bright and so is your design. I think grey was the right choice to let the design show.

@ACraigL Just showed my mother the Hail Bacon shirt. She suggested instead of the pentagram you should do it as a Star of David. She’s definitely where I got my twisted sense of humor.

So charming - I especially love the Rooftops. I remember the Mondrian-esque one from a previous derby, I like that a lot too.
I try to find variety in my little houses; I don’t like the ones that are all similar like the Department 56 Christmas villages and such. I’ve been collecting them for about 40 years, so lots of time to accumulate them (and I’ve gotten them as gifts too.)

@Kyeh @sammydog01 Nope - the artists don’t choose the designs that get added to their catalogs - they are either chosen by the votes or the editors.

@jasneko @sammydog01 Then if a design isn’t picked, are you free to try to get it made elsewhere - like Mediocretee?

@Kyeh They’re doing a different type of printing which is good because they can print on demand. But the print isn’t as saturated and tends to peel. @narfcake do you have an opinion?

(Plus I was promised nice screen printed shirts all month at Mediocritee.)

It’s a good sale for sure!
If the print quality isn’t great, you should write customer service and tell them exactly why. Also they typically will send a replacement shirt if you explain why what you got is not up to expectation.

@jasneko @Kyeh @sammydog01 There’s a long running thread about print issues – which to be honest, started well before on the old Woot forums. The difference back then it was more a general QC issue rather than print durability issues – such as wrong shirt size, wrong shirt brand, crooked prints, splotchy prints, wrong colors, wrong image sizes, wrong sided print, or even hair in the print.

But yeah, CS will often replace or refund poorly printed shirts, though usually only in the first 90 days.

(I’m going to have to put that time limit to the test, though – look at my shirt.woot purchase history, dammit!)

Do you know anything about the long-sleeved tees? That’s what I want, but it seems like the sizes are really meant for men; I would get the M but it looks like the sleeves would be about 6" too long!?

The long sleeve tees are indeed men’s/unisex sizing. No women’s option, no “fitted” (Bella+Canvas blanks) option – these will all be Port and Company blanks with a straight body and no side seams. Versus the sizing chart numbers, the length tends to be spot on though actual width tends to be a little looser. The long sleeves do not have wrist cuffs; they’re just regular hemmed.

I have a handful of them over the years. They’re alright and my second option when the B+C tee isn’t available.

The old American Apparel blanks are still my favorite, however.

@Kyeh @narfcake @sammydog01 Good thinking - after all the size changes over the years I typically size up for woot shirts to be safe (and advise others to), and also because they are very comfortable for sleeping!
