I’ve been tempted by these when they were offered before, but I am pretty fussy about pillows. I don’t know how soft or firm these are… hmm. Anyone around who has bought these?
@Pony I haven’t bought them but was considering the quilted goose feather ones. I did a Google search and the results said these are considered soft pillows. If that’s the case, I think I will pass, as I want more support.
@Pony I got these, ended up never using them, they are really really stuffed FULL and packed tight. The pillow isn’t soft enough for me (I like flat pillows) and no matter what it feels a lot firmer than a feather pillow should be.
Now I use them to prop myself up when I’m sitting upright
@Pony I’ve bought them. We love them. And as odd as this sounds, they are the firmest feather pillows I have ever seen. We’ve used them nightly for about 2-3 months now. They are still just as fluffy and hard as they were when we first got them. They’re a kind of enigma because I can verify with 100% certainty they are Goose feather!
@Pony I decided to order the goose pillows too. From past experience, I will use a pillow protector in addition to a pillowcase so I don’t get jabbed with the feathers and don’t find them flying around the room. The AllerEase ones I got from Kohl’s worked pretty well.
Down and is not the same as feathers. Down is much preferred and is the soft under feathers that lack the quill. Feather is still nice except when the quill pokes through and pokes me in the face.

@zippyus Here’s the image you requested for “duck hunter using a decoy as a bong”
@mediocrebot @zippyus that is not how I would do it.

@heartny Ahh. Thanks. I prefer firmer pillows as well.
@Pony you won’t find firm down pillows. That is the nature of down pillows. They are squishy and soft.
@BelleGunness @Pony I believe these are mostly feathers, so I was hoping for some firmness.
@heartny
Not even that will sway you, huh?

@Kantaris Which ones did you get? Goose or duck?

@kodakmcclain Hmmm. Now I am thinking I want them. Thanks for the info!
@Kantaris @Pony I had the same experience but I also like flat pillows. These were too firm for me. I got the goose down.
@Kantaris @Springbank @kodakmcclain

Ordered a set of the goose feather ones. Thanks everyone, for taking the time to reply!

@heartny I use pillow protectors on most of my pillows because I like the extra smoothness. And also, five cats.

I’m so, so tempted on this, but I just can’t really bring myself to buy pillows without being able to feel them first. What a dilemma.
I’m out. Why does a goose need dry cleaning?
