@katbyter can’t speak for @cengland0 but i thought the same thing, meaning for some reason the poll loaded way after the rest of the page had. (10:15am est) i actually thought it was missing until i read their comment.
@cengland0 I got some of these from Sidedeal and they are totally crap. I’ve got a few rechargable strip lights, from Bezozan, in the pantry… hoped these would work out, but they are too small, too low in lumens, and eat batteries. Bad, bad product.
@cbl_wv@cengland0 Thank you. I was going to buy these because I have a couple of similar lights that eat batteries, even when I don’t open the cabinet they are in. I will pass on these.

@awk or even Amazon anymore…they’re starting to rival Habor Freight in the cheap-chinese-goods market. Makes it damn near impossible to search for stuff now. Takes too much time to find quality stuff now… usually ending up in analysis paralysis for me!
@awk@PHRoG it’s so bad that I stopped buying electronics, that need to last, there. Even the top listed “Prime” PS4 controller ended up being a knock off.
to the URL, and it sorts the results by reviews, as well as the number of reviews. It’s not perfect by any means, but it does weed out the 5 stars that have very few reviews.
Once upon a time it was a menu choice, but they got rid of that several years ago.
@cengland0@TOaFK 300K is about the temperature of a pleasantly warm day, or well into the infrared. Maybe not your first choice for illuminating a closet unless you have mosquito or pit viper skills.
@sumthakkar Still more expensive at $17.44 for two but what I find more interesting is that the company cannot make up their mind on what the color temperature is. In the specs, they list “1500 - 2000 K” but in the description they say 3000K. They also measure the color temperature in Candle Light.

Agree with all of the benefits @blaineg outlined.
We have a half-dozen or so of the rechargeable versions in dark cabinets/closets and when they go dead (after many months of use), we recharge the dead one, put it back up, and go about our day/night.
Meh! How much you going to pay us to take this junk off your hands. OR 2 years free batteries with each purchase. Given they cost you guys $1.27 each I’d say it’s a Harbor freight Free Coupon for this crap Meh needs to find a new buyer. One who knows how to hunt closeouts.
Been a while since anything really wiz bang has shown up on meh where you just look at it and say, man, I’ve gotta have that. Seems like people on eBay are finding the same source as meh and matching or possibly undercutting the price. Too bad, when I first got on meh a few years back, it was fun buying the stuff and reselling it for a small (very small in most cases) profit just for the fun of it.
I own several of these (exact same thing by different maker). They are not very good: variable brightness, variable on/off time, variable battery eating. About 1/3 work well, but the one in our laundry room/garage entrance needs 4 new AAAs every 6 weeks. Truly meh.
I purchased these light bars on July 3 and they are just now being shipped on July 17. Two weeks to get it out the door. Not making any more purchases. Other places to do business. This is too long
Just got this and while it didn’t work with the batteries that it came with, I put in some new batteries (cheapos from Harbor Freight) and it works fine. I bought these because I was hoping that it would fit in our small 4-gun safe, and it just barely does but works great so far and fits the bill. Thanks Meh!
Bought 4, only 1 works. Well… technically they work if I grab them by the end and smack them against my hand but that isn’t the “motion activated” I was hoping for
Not the brand you advertised, can’t find this brand anywhere. Not even on manufacturer website. The brand you posted was on Amazon like you compared it to, not these?
I bought 2 of these are both did not work. I tried using batteries different from the ones included and still neither of them worked. Just a waste of money.

Uh oh. No poll question today. My OCD is going to get the best of me.
Edit: never mind, it took a long time to show up.
@cengland0 They don’t always show up right at midnight.
@katbyter can’t speak for @cengland0 but i thought the same thing, meaning for some reason the poll loaded way after the rest of the page had. (10:15am est) i actually thought it was missing until i read their comment.
Before anyone buys, 3000k is warm white (yellowish) and not cool white
How long do they stay on?
@mythereal Until the heat death of the Universe.
3000K is too yellow and it should take AA batteries instead of AAA. If it was > 5000K and AA, I’d be in for a few.

@cbl_wv Good to know – thanks.

The name sounds like it came straight off eBay.

@awk you forgot covid in the name

200 Lumen is meh.
300k is meh.
This belongs here.
@TOaFK You mean 3000K.
@cengland0 @TOaFK 300K is about the temperature of a pleasantly warm day, or well into the infrared. Maybe not your first choice for illuminating a closet unless you have mosquito or pit viper skills.
@cengland0 sure do
“8-inches x 1-inch x 1inch”?
Sounds tiny…no room even for an extra hyphen.
@Ambiverbal space-saving size. Perfect for the pantry so it doesn’t take up space for all the cans of creamed corn we have, but never eat.
@Ambiverbal @medz These eat batteries, even in a pantry. And the light is really weak. Bad product.
@Ambiverbal @cbl_wv how could you possibly know that?
@Ambiverbal @cbl_wv @medz Pantry-cam shows batteries being eaten by light strip.

I was looking for something for my closet. Didn’t need something super bright. So this should work. Price is right.

Oh Meh God
@sumthakkar damnit! I cancelled my meh order after seeing your post, but now I realize that is deal still more expensive for 2.
@sumthakkar With free shipping, too, which may be good news if your Meh membership has fallen into a dark well.

The bars are closing. Get your bars as soon as you can, before they are all gone.
Don’t go toward the light, you’ll die in the closet.
AAA? What did we ever do to you Meh?
Don’t buy this crap, buy THIS crap, or one of the many things like it.

@blaineg the USB charging ports on this break easy. I bought 2 and 1 already broke.
@blaineg I was springing for these until I read your comment. Thanks!
@rollingupbynow I haven’t had any problem with breakage (yet), and I’ve bought several different models.
They’re also great for working inside a computer case.

I’m, surprised, meh is still around; haven’t logged in for years, forgot about it, but here it is, with worse crap. meh.

@rprussell Smoker? Dancer? Position??
@Bumplepimp (Thing that an electrician stands on)
Where’s the survey? How dare you. WTAF???
@adwaller The poll is in the product description today. They had the electrician stand on it, instead of a pole.
@adwaller the poll exists in the regular place, it just takes about two years to show up for some reason.
The poll is in the narrative.
@yeld The poll is the friends we made along the way.

Wow, these suck. New batteries every 3 to 4 days.
Bought a pair, one works, one doesn’t. Any chance Meh will replace the dead one?
