The Braven Flye Sport are great! I use them almost daily during labwork. They pair reliably for me, fit well, have acceptable sound, and a charge lasts the workday. I even used them for my 66.9 mile charity bike ride today (The Ride UW). Well worth the price.
@balts@Bumplepimp
They didn’t run out of power, but I pretty much did. I signed up for a “100 km” ride which proved to be 107.66, including 0.7 km of elevation gain. I was feeling every km by the end. Overweight guy on an overweight bike on his 48th birthday FTW!
@Num1Zero
For oerfect replication of the ultimate Big Lots experience, the lawn chair should sit so low that ants detour around you for safety, and exactly one of the plastic feet should be missing so that you have to put a flat rock under that leg to keep it from sinking into the grass.
The Braven’s are awesome! they charge in like 5 minutes, and auto turn off if they dont detect any audio. Just bought 4 more sets once i do loose my first set.
@Matrixclese I’m in love with the Braven and the iFrogz Sound Hub. I don’t even know how many pair I have now of each. I decided to buy another pair of the Braven, since they have the higher IPX, but I might actually prefer the Sound Hub. Great sound. I love the magnets (both the clip and the buds themselves) on the iFrogz; keeps shit attached and organized. Can’t believe both are so cheap.
I should note that the use of earbuds in both ears while driving (or even riding a bike in some states) is technically illegal, and can get you a “because a cop wants to be an asshole and jack you around” ticket even when they aren’t actually interfering with your hearing. When they are interfering with your ability to hear what’s around you, the ticket is a wake-up call. (But the cop may still just be on a power trip.)
These are my go-to for yard work. They sound pretty decent, and they cancel out some of the noise. It’s also good that they’re wired because my truly wireless earbuds would definitely fall out and get chopped up by the lawnmower.
At first I thought these were going to be good. Unfortunately, after wearing them (braven flye sport) they hurt my ears, kept falling out (even with smallest ear piece) and then stopped working on and off. Not a good buy.

I can’t hear you!
Brave frogs?
@mcemanuel but are you brave enough to lick ´em?
I have yet to spend money on earbuds, period. I expect that this deal will not change that.
They have purple for @barney, even.
@stinks I love purple.
It used to be that kids had to dissect a frog in Biology in high school. Now that we’re in the digital age, are they dissecting iFrogs?
@eeterrific The GenZ disectees prefer to be called iFrogZ, apparently…?

@earmstrong What?..You couldn’t just make it 67???
@Bumplepimp @earmstrong Unfortunately the earbuds ran out of power, so they couldn’t finish that final 0.1 mile— turning The Ride UW into The Tried UW.
@balts @Bumplepimp @earmstrong They sound pretty Flye.
Thanks for the info. Worth a shot for $10.

Oh man ifrogs is the premium Big Lots brand. So fancy! Just need a Miller light and a lawn chair and it will be a perfect time for some tunes!

@Num1Zero @werehatrack The irony of a Meh poster passing judgement on a low cost store and/or sale is richer than some 7 year old candy corn.
This is the same site that has people who obsessively click & and then obsessively complain about not scoring a near literal bag of regret.
None of us here are above the laws of “Discountonium”.
Hey, Meh has multiple products to sell today. Its a micro-mini Mehathon!
@hchavers We tell ourselves anything to get us through the day sometimes.
@hchavers @ircon96
You mean you actually enjoy Mehrathons?
@ircon96 @Kyeh Anything that distracts from the next video conference call, looking at the messy home office, or reading another pandemic news article.
@hchavers @ircon96 I guess I have a love/hate relationship with them.
@hchavers @Kyeh This. I think the closest technical term is masochism. Or maybe self-flagellation, a ritual of Mehism.
@hchavers @ircon96 @Kyeh
Don’t forget wailing
Also there’s gnashing of teeth
And rueing of fate
@hchavers @Kyeh @replicacobra
Amen wise Meh sage
They say judge not lest ye be
Goes doubly for Meh?

POPSOCKETS! ROAD ROCKETS! SONNY CROCKETT! AWESOME!

I’ve been lurking for so long and this is what I choose to buy
/giphy down hill from here
@ButterQuark Downhill is more efficient than uphill. Just ask an old person about walking to school when they were young.
@ButterQuark @yakkoTDI
And so it begins
You’d resisted temptation
But now the fun starts
Does anyone know if these flat ones stay in your ears? How?
Would they stay in while lying in bed? How do they stay on/in? Thanks.
Irritating. Ordered wireless for wired. Useless to me.
