@Dizavid seeing as meh forum members already owned this knife before meh sold them.....i don't know. Those guys have a lot of knives. And I'm uh....not one of them. It cuts things.
@Dizavid They're knives. You aren't getting a magical knife from the gods, you aren't getting a surprisingly nice knife that happens to look like a turd; it's just a decent quality pocket knife. Don't expect the world and it's not a bad deal. I may be in for two more myself.
I don't get knives for the general population. For about the same space on your web belt, you could carry a Leatherman instead. Personally, I find myself using the needle nose, wire stripper, cross tip, and ruler more often than the pig sticker.
@Dizavid@presbypenguin It's a good knife to carry in your pocket where there are other items that may scratch the case. You don't want the keys to your gun safes scratching up your Poo knife case.
@Dizavid The steel is OK, nothing special, won't hold an edge forever, and wont take a ton of sheer force. However it will be easy to sharpen, never rust away, and will still cut things if you get it sharp. And if you lose it, who cares buy another.
@Dizavid Woot! Oh wait that word is probably taboo here. Be careful, knives are an addiction. Pretty soon Benchmade will be delivering M390 blades to your doorstep and you will wonder where your bank account went.
@Everyunitisop Yeah, I could see myself getting more than I could possibly need if I'm not careful. I already bought a few previously. One tiny one for my keyring, one ultra cheap starter flip knife, one fixed blade, also by Kershaw, because it looked so pretty I had to have it (Sweet K.I.S.S.), one on Amazon I misjudged the size of but liked anyway. And now a twin set from Meh.
So, this means one in either pocket, with the option of an extra, one fixed blade in my bag, one attached to my keys, the hunting knife from the 'Zon in a pocket if I have enough pockets, or otherwise optionally in my bag... Yeah, anything further is probably redundant unless it's throwing knives.
@Dizavid I have the 3830, which has a slightly larger blade, and it's my go to knife for utility and fishing purposes. It's not fancy, but it hold an edge well and cuts normal materials relatively easily. I think I paid around $20 for it and I consider that a bargain. I was tempted to get in on this deal, but I already have one that's similar and don't need two more. I try not to buy stuff just because I consider it a good deal!
@completewally SOG WOULD BE SWEET. but in reality, so would Fein tools, Starret tools, and uh, Festool tools. (I know tools. Also, SnapOn). But meh is kinda a Vermont American level of place: It'll get the job done....a couple times.
@cengland0 I see you've blade this game before. Success, though, hinges on having a sharp aptitude for all the qualities of this product. It's not enough to make the easy shot into the pocket, you have to cut through the simple puns whittling ever closer to the point and hone in on the deeper, more meaningful characteristics. Otherwise you'll fold under the pressure and end up sheathing your skills before they shine.
The knife is a good knife, especially for the price. The texture of the handle, though... I suppose it is grippy, but touching it makes you feel like you just ran your hands along a dirty slateboard, and are about to scrape your fingernails along them...
Ugh. I shuddered just writing that. But i'm being serious.
@Fatestorm That's probably my biggest complaint about the knife as well, just a really odd texture to it. I will say that mine seems to have gotten better with use though, don't really know if its the texture wearing off or if I just got used to it though.
@yakkoTDI I have both knives. This one is beefier than the Hawk, with the blade that's wider but the same length. I'm able to open this one cleaner and quicker. At this price these knives are just nice to have around the house or cars for easy access and quick use.
So is this the fancy thumb stud version or the plain one? Go through the detail of the last Meh'ers observations but don't state what this one is? I'll assume it's the plain, meh version...
@RedOx As the guy that first commented about the missing details on the previous sale, I encourage you to assume that these are the "different run" that do not have the machined thumbstud or the higher quality washers. I like the knife for what I paid for it, but the lack of the machined thumbstud and the plastic instead of phosphor bronze washers do impact the quality, durability and value of the knife in my opinion. I imagine some folks will think I'm being petty, but I don't really need any more knives - I buy ones that I think add something different to my collection or are a particularly good value, and this one disappointed because I was buying for the overall look (including the unique thumbstud) and value. The images and price comparisons that meh is using on this sale seem misleading, although they were kind enough to (mostly) admit it in the copy.
And @awm submitted side-by-side photos of his new Meh-purchased knife and his previously-purchased-elsewhere version of the Kershaw 3820 Injection 3.0 [...]
It's another knife sale... I'm starting to think meh doesn't value my contributions. They don't have any good speaker docks... Not for a while now.... So sad :(
Dammit, meh! Don't color your "buy it" button black! We've been conditioned to associate a black button on here with an item that is sold out! I saw black and instantly went to close the tab. Knock it off, chumps! =P
Maybe I'm just not a folding knife kind of guy. Blame the TSA? I think part of the issue is I just haven't seen convincing enough marketing to make me want a product I definitely don't need. For example, if you looked at the Cold Steel knives, they have awesome videos of military like men chopping through rope and stuff. Cutco sends college aged kids to your door with exceptionally sharp knives. I won't make any promises about purchasing knives, but do you think you could have Irk do a video demonstrating their efficacy? While he wears military fatigues? With a blade that has been inscribed and named "Irk", without all that legal trademarking stuff? That also comes with an Irk action doll to replace that empty feeling we have for not purchasing from a bro who needs a bigger beer fund?
I like this knife from the last time they were for sale. It's a little big for EDC, but great to have out in the garage. Almost disposable at this price...
Ohhhhh.....two knives for $18? Cool.........Now I don't have to whittle down a couple of sticks to use as makeshift knives. I can buy two knives, nice and clean and use those to "shank" those people that I don't like. What a country we live in!!!!!!!

@Stallion Moar cheap 2-fer headphone deals!
Finally, I get the opportunity to participate in one of the legendary knife deals.
And I kinda want it. But is it a good one?
@Dizavid seeing as meh forum members already owned this knife before meh sold them.....i don't know. Those guys have a lot of knives. And I'm uh....not one of them. It cuts things.

@Dizavid Yes it is, I got one last time. It's a good knife, especially for the price. I may be in for 2 more.

@Everyunitisop JUST PULLED THE TRIGGER.
fluffy-lowdown-grasshopper
HELLO, DUAL SET.
@Dizavid Woot! Oh wait that word is probably taboo here. Be careful, knives are an addiction. Pretty soon Benchmade will be delivering M390 blades to your doorstep and you will wonder where your bank account went.

Watch Meh sell some throwing knives next week.

@kenp11 Good thinking.
@kenp11 If the Poo knife comes back, grab it!
Poop.
It's pretty nice.
Kershaw has some pretty decent blades. it'd be sweet if they had some SOG knives pop up on here
@completewally SOG WOULD BE SWEET. but in reality, so would Fein tools, Starret tools, and uh, Festool tools. (I know tools. Also, SnapOn). But meh is kinda a Vermont American level of place: It'll get the job done....a couple times.
@completewally They had this one, perhaps there are more in the pipeline.
meh
This deal is a cut above the rest.

@stienman Well blade. Well blade, pun-san.
The knife is a good knife, especially for the price. The texture of the handle, though... I suppose it is grippy, but touching it makes you feel like you just ran your hands along a dirty slateboard, and are about to scrape your fingernails along them...

This deal is for "cut ups" tonight
@AttyVette Glad you've got a handle on the puns, tonight.
There hasn't been any 2 for Tuesday that is even worth looking at recently. How many knives you got there meh? Cos this is ridiculous
@mykel Moar cheap 2-fer headphone deals!
@HeadfoneJack more bluetooth shitty speakers!
If this was the Kershaw G-10 Hawk knife from last year I would be on for more.
I am still waiting on the fixed blade stabber though.
@RedOx Of course, Meh obviously sidestepped that for a reason.
@RedOx As the guy that first commented about the missing details on the previous sale, I encourage you to assume that these are the "different run" that do not have the machined thumbstud or the higher quality washers. I'm just flippin out over this deal.
@mike808 oh man. Groan city.
@ianimal Agreed. -Not exactly cutting edge humor.
@zachdecker It's about time you whipped out that sharp wit of yours.
Just for you, cuz it's 2-Fer Tuesday.
@mike808 Quite the stud with that smooth opening.
@awk I might as well fold up shop and go home now.
Bought this last time. Useful for opening boxes of stuff you buy from Meh. It might also have other uses
@xerdkwa Buy knives so you can open the boxes your new knives come in!
How I win a knife fight.
@droopus You get food poisoning?
Nah. Don't need any new knives since I got my strawberry knife.

@Starblind That's an interesting nipple scratcher you got there, bud.
Good knife, and good luck.
@awm?? Get it together, Meg!
It's another knife sale... I'm starting to think meh doesn't value my contributions. They don't have any good speaker docks... Not for a while now.... So sad :(

I got one of these last time, and like it a lot. In for two more.
Maybe I'm just not a folding knife kind of guy. Blame the TSA? I think part of the issue is I just haven't seen convincing enough marketing to make me want a product I definitely don't need. Love Kershaw knives! Great deal!
knice knife. i’m in. thanks, o meh!

@deemoy what would you have whittled down the sticks with?
@thismyusername Other sticks of course. Caveman style.
I'd be in for 2 if they were ken onion and assisted opening...
Why are they called "injection"? Are they extra stabby?
Already have 3......
