Bubbas are about the cheapest made mugs out there. Technically double walled, but there's this crap looking seam down the middle that looks like it was welded by a Monday morning White Star TransAtlantic laborer who was already thinking about Friday.
@5665150 WTF, has Mediocre been two-timing us with this other web site?!?!?! Thanks BTW, I just bought more Bubba's! I like these much better than these leaky ones- I've been waiting for the Bubba's to show up again on Meh.
@MehnofLaMehncha Who cares if the seam is only on the inside? (I only just noticed after reading your post!) The Bubba's look better on the outside IMO, and are leakproof.
This is the first time I've actually clicked thru to the Buy Popup over on MorningSave.com. The Bubba 20 oz two pack is $14? Shipped free? That's cheaper than they were here on Meh if you were only buying one item in those 30 days!?! (The Meh price was $12 + $5 VMP/Shipping)
@madmaxmedia yes. Because you had VMP turned on, yielding a 10% discount from the $14. If you had not had VMP, the Bubba's would have been $17 on meh (the 30-day reference) and $14 on morningsave.
@RedOak Now I see what you mean. I thought Morningsave also charged shipping as well (I assumed $5). When I did checkout there, it said shipping was free because I had a VMP membership.
@therealjrn Never a challenge to decide for me. When VMP auto-renews from my last cycle, I cancel every time and it auto credits back.... only to get suckered back in a few days/a week later by an can't resist deal. Until the recent since-January dry spell from meh temptations for me.
@RedOak Oh, I see...well all this talk about the Bubbas got me to order a pair of 20oz in addition to the two 16 oz offered here. That should fill my insulated tumbler needs quite nicely for awhile.
@therealjrn another VMP trick I've used (nobody is cheaper than me) - I brought a friend into the Meh world (some kind of friend I am, right?). So in dry spells when only one of us has had VMP turned on, we've bought for each other.
I've now bought a couple Bubba 24's and 6 Bubba 20's. Those 20's make nice gifts.
@michaelahess yeah, lids dont seal worth shit, and they go up so high, its not great to drink from. Also, the swivel motion means coffee will get swpt back up under them, and make the lid all sticky. PAAAAASSSSS.
I bought these before, nice metal body and keeps things cold/hot a nice long time. Good price too. The swivel part does not seal worth a damn though. Leaks when tipped and even just from bumps in the road when driving if the cup is even close to full. The top doesn't screw on like the bubbas which seal the sipping hole way better also, but it's no fun to drink from a threaded surface. So if you want to take your drink somewhere while keeping it upright, then remove the lid to drink from the rim, these are great.
@MehnofLaMehncha shit coffee tastes like shit at room temp. Good or great coffee is way better at room temp or tepid. Coffee does not need to be hot...the water that's used to make it does.
@MehnofLaMehncha Hot coffee is still fresh thanks to good sealing or recent brewing (that's why it's hot), so its flavor molecules are still inside. Cold coffee naturally seals in the good flavors due to lower molecular activity. Lukewarm coffee, however, has since aged from one of these extremes to get to this mediocre point in its life. It tried to bond with too much oxygen, leaving it rancid, and generally it's youthful beauty has been lost to the wind. Not even addiction can convince old lovers to return to it, and it realizes too late that many people may sip from you, but only someone willing to commit through the dregs of life will stick with you 'til the end.
In a nutshell, lukewarm coffee is pretty bitter about life.
@MehnofLaMehncha Temperature changes the way we taste things. There has been a decent amount of research on the topic. Bitterness, for example, is stronger at higher temperatures. The flavor profile of coffee changes as the temp changes.
If you search for something like "temperature taste" you'll find more details on it.
@MehnofLaMehncha I don't need you to tell me how fucking good my coffee is, okay? I'm the one who buys it. I know how good it is. When Bonnie goes shopping she buys SHIT. I buy the gourmet expensive stuff because when I drink it I want to taste it. But you know what's on my mind right now? It AIN'T the coffee in my kitchen, it's the dead ____in my garage! Anyway, the Nobel prize goes to Jimmy who knows you drink the gourmet expensive stuff because you want to taste it! That coffee is good at any temperature, not like the Tasters Choice freeze dried. Anyway, the secret is in your taste buds and proximity to your hippocampus.
@yeppers Just realized if you don't have VMP turned on (you do), the Morningsave.com price is less than they were here since they ship free over there. ($14 over there vs. $12 + $5 vmp/shipping here on meh.)
ByBryan B. Jameson March 18, 2016 Verified Purchase "The mug is great but the picture of the mocha brown doesn't include the painted graphic written in big letters twice around the mug saying "meh"... Wouldn't have bought it had I known it had that ridiculousness on it."
paint comes off kinda easy, lid pops off when you knock it over (twice) and then the hot coffee runs onto the floor(s), otherwise, pretty decent thermal cups for the price and yea, Meh.
Huh. I just realized I ordered these last time and they never got delivered. Tracking still says in transit to USPS. Guess I'll be contacting FedEx tomorrow
Bought one of these when they were first up for sale. Coffee stayed so hot so long I fell asleep waiting to be able to drink it, and 3 hours later it was still plenty hot. I don't know if that's an endorsement or not.
Bought one last time I love it. I've had no spillage issues. I fill it up first thing and take it to work. It's often too hot to drink. But once it cools off a bit it easily stays warm until lunch, if I haven't finished it by then. Friday I left mine at work and was thinking I wished I had another. And now I will have 2 back ups. I seriously need to clean out a cabinet and toss some unused cups now though.
In all seriousness, years ago a former colleague worked in a busy coffee shop in Berkeley. She told me someone came in and actually ordered a "tepid latte".
This is why I couldn't do it. How do you not respond with " I will make a regular latte, set it on the counter and you can put it up your _ if you want to"? (although this may insulate & further prolong the tepidization process)
Meh is eating up all my April disposable income like PAC-MAN. I was going to meh this, but then I saw they had a pink one. Meh logo, 16oz., and it's in pink? Okay, I'll spring for it. Take my $8, you brilliant con men, you.
The kid tried to steal mine that I got the last time. Picked up two more to send back to school with her since I figure she'll lose at least one of them. These mugs do keep your coffee hot for a long time. I haven't had any problem with the lid, but then again I don't throw it around. The logo started to come off a little after a few uses, but nothing major.
Just imagine if meh could find a company that makes a tumbler with a built in Bluetooth speaker and knife. Then they could sell the same thing every day.
Man, oh man! What should I do? I got these last time and like them very much. The lid is not as good as my Contigo mug, but a better price. I'll let fate decide. If they sell out before my first break at work, I'll get one. If it sells out, then it wasn't meant to be.
Worth it! These actually keep drinks hot and are easy to clean. What else is there to know? How much acetone to remove the "MEH" ? Don't bother, wear "MEH" with pride.
@moose You still haven't corrected the photos for the correct color printing. I know that flamingo 16 oz is black printing- not sure about the others. Which is nice because you can touch it up with a sharpie.
Also, got the 16oz last time because the 20oz was sold out and it turns out a full "8 cup" French press makes just enough to fill both of them (one for me, one for Mrs. pib) with some room for milk, so perfect!
@kshannon1 a drop of dishsoap. Heated (near boiling but not quite) water from kettle (water is heated to fill french press anyway). Shake. pour. rinse... Wipe out with paper towel.
30 seconds onto my morning ritual. Otherwise I'm pretty much the same. Almost everything I have is dishwasher safe.
/ of course I dont have milk or sugar to make the inside go stinky or bad. Might need more serious scrubbing and cleaning for that.
I bought two of these last time. I didn't understand there was a warranty, or I would've sent them back. They are seriously beautiful, but the lids stank to high heaven, and the smell didn't wash off. I suspect outgassing of dangerous chemicals from cheap recycled plastic. Any plastic that smells should not be used for eating, drinking, or putting in your body. I threw the horrible lids away and now use these as regular insulated tumblers.
@compunaut I'll see a doctor with tattoos or not, as long as they are great at their jobs. I don't understand the personal issue people take with how other people look. Totally your decision, but if a doctor is great at his job he will have plenty of patients.
However, if you want an older doctor more experienced (in old medicine that is now being questioned, as well as becoming irrelevant because of medical advances), there are plenty of those.
Remember that movie (Conspiracy Theory) when Mel Gibson had to buy a copy of "A Catcher in the Rye" every time he walked by a bookstore? I'm starting to feel that way every time I see a travel mug on Meh.com
I can vouch for some leakage on these cups, like even a slight bump on the road will make them leak. I bought a keurig contigo 14 oz cup and its amazing, I bet that if you rolled over in your car and you are able to get out, you could take your contigo cup and keep drinking coffee till the po po comes..... without spilling a single drop of your java
Natch, I impetuously purchased a 12oz the first go-round (all hail VMP). Now under more rational thought process, I realize these are not dishwasher-safe, and the butterfly closure lid on mine no longer locks into place -- just spins all loose & willy nilly. I shall ponder my options throughout the day, and most likely decide to purchase right around the time they sell out. Because they will sell out... won't they?
Oh man! My favorite Contigo West Loop mug is on sale today at Amazon, albeit for more than $4 each. Should I get one at a discount even though I [will soon] have four of these Meh mugs at home? They're almost as good, but aren't as spill-resistant as Contigo.
sigh I probably will. I've already worn out two Contigo mugs (one with the old style lid, one with the new style lid).
These things live up to the logo printed on them. They are very much all right. Love the look and feel. The design is mostly good. Has the nice gripping rubber on the bottom. Don't know why it has a rubber ring near the top. Lids stay in place well. However, the lids could seal up better for sure. They leak if you tilt the cup sideways, and this probably causes much faster heat loss. However, they still do an OKAY job of keeping your drink warm for a while. Lives up to the Meh name for sure.
I wish you would bring these back! I’d definitely order some. These are by far better than my Starbucks insulated mug. I have others too & now they just take up room in my cupboard. These Meh mugs keep my coffee hot and/or warm for hours!! I want more!!!

This is not a Bubba.... I wanted more Bubba.
Bubbas are about the cheapest made mugs out there. Technically double walled, but there's this crap looking seam down the middle that looks like it was welded by a Monday morning White Star TransAtlantic laborer who was already thinking about Friday.
Having said that ... Lordy, they work great.
@MehnofLaMehncha Huh, the seam on mine is perfect. They keep coffee hot for eternity and the lids are amazing.
@MehnofLaMehncha if those Bubba's are crap then keeping dumping shit on us. We love our stinking Bubba's. In both sizes offered previously.
@cjrhoades
Did you get some from MorningSave? They still have some 20oz. No Meh on the side though. Sad face.
@5665150 TBH, I forgot that site existed. I've got plenty of the 20oz ones though. Wanting a smaller size that fits under my coffee maker.
@5665150 WTF, has Mediocre been two-timing us with this other web site?!?!?! Thanks BTW, I just bought more Bubba's! I like these much better than these leaky ones- I've been waiting for the Bubba's to show up again on Meh.

@RedOak I bought them on Meh in February, it was 2 for $12 at the time (2 for Tuesday.) This time at Morningsave it was $12.60 (after VMP discount.)
@RedOak Morningsave is free shipping regardless of VMP membership? I too thought it was $5 like here.
@therealjrn When I looked at the Bubba's earlier, it said free shipping. And I have (surprisingly to me) had VMP turned off since sometime in January.
@RedOak Cool! That will help me decide when that 29 days with no purchases comes up :)
@therealjrn Never a challenge to decide for me. When VMP auto-renews from my last cycle, I cancel every time and it auto credits back.... only to get suckered back in a few days/a week later by an can't resist deal. Until the recent since-January dry spell from meh temptations for me.
@therealjrn @5665150 @madmaxmedia
Mediocre must have a shitload of those 20oz Bubbas. Just looked again on morningsave.com and they do offer free shipping, even without VMP.
However, looked at the kitchen knives and they charge $5 shipping on those if you do not have VMP.
So the no-VMP free shipping appears to depend...
@RedOak Oh, I see...well all this talk about the Bubbas got me to order a pair of 20oz in addition to the two 16 oz offered here. That should fill my insulated tumbler needs quite nicely for awhile.

@jayplus707 They should worry you; they suck a bag of dicks.
@michaelahess yeah, lids dont seal worth shit, and they go up so high, its not great to drink from. Also, the swivel motion means coffee will get swpt back up under them, and make the lid all sticky. PAAAAASSSSS.
I'm a fish. I'm thinking ahead for Christmas....
No purple again? Fail.
@heartny Flamingo looked lavender to me... Maybe it's purple enough?
@yeppers Hmmm, not so much.
I bought these before, nice metal body and keeps things cold/hot a nice long time. Good price too. The swivel part does not seal worth a damn though. Leaks when tipped and even just from bumps in the road when driving if the cup is even close to full. @mehdaf Confirming this. A good cup to keep your pens and stuff in, but i'll stick to the Bubbas for actual use.
Nobel prize to the guy who figures out why hot coffee is delicious, iced coffee is delicious, but room temp coffee is disgusting.
@MehnofLaMehncha The only kind of coffee that is not disgusting is coffee ice cream. May I have my nobel prize now.
@MehnofLaMehncha I enjoy room temp coffee, and I also enjoy flat, room temp Coke. I have absolutely no insight on why.
@MehnofLaMehncha shit coffee tastes like shit at room temp. Good or great coffee is way better at room temp or tepid. Coffee does not need to be hot...the water that's used to make it does.
Liken it to beer that has to be cold to drink....

Because they will sell out... won't they?
Will I buy these just because they say meh?
Maybe not.
Why?
Because I now have what seems to be millions of mugs!
STOP SELLING THEM!!!
They are falling out of the cabinet every time I open it!
@smilingjack Why would someone stop selling something people keep buying? I am confused.
Keeps my beverages lukewarm and uninteresting. Which is ok, I guess.
I dunno about y'all, but I luuuuurv my pearly white Meh cups! Can't wait for my new fancy black ones to get here :-D
It kept my coffee hot for hours!! Only problem is how leaky the seals were. I move around a lot and the cup gets bounced around a lot and it leaks
I wish you would bring these back! I’d definitely order some. These are by far better than my Starbucks insulated mug. I have others too & now they just take up room in my cupboard. These Meh mugs keep my coffee hot and/or warm for hours!! I want more!!!
