WTF. This would last me 10 years. I still have a few pairs of tighty whities from 2000. 15 more (fresh un-“skid”marked, no holes underwear) would be like heaven
Thinking about it (you can thank @phendrick for me even re-reading this part of the thread) then you shouldn’t advertise it in a way that implies 100% cotton in the title. I am sure most/some people don’t know modal is rayon. I had never even heard of modal. And a cotton spandex mix isn’t pure cotton as is implied when you advertise it in the headline as cotton underwear. That matters to some people. Plenty of decent underwear is a cotton mix.
I’m solidly team boxer briefs (not boxers) for at least 30+ years now. I have pretty substantive thighs from being a high schooler runner and then lifting weights in college.
I tried trunks from a Japanese maker about 5-6 years ago, with the shorter legs like this… not comfortable for me. I’m used to not having the skin of my thighs rub together while wearing long, looser shorts. (Or wearing nothing else, I guess.) And short legged underwear causes this for me.
@Helot I ordered these last time. I really liked them but I ordered up 2 sizes. I usually wear a medium and I ordered XL. They fit great and I like how they feel.
@Helot I got the ones on the side deal. I like ‘em. Comfy, good fit. Go up 2 on the size. For comparison, their 4xl is somewhere between Hanes’ XL and 2XL.
The photos are nice to look at. These look nice too, but $60 is too much for me for underwear. Perhaps if they were offered in pairs or six-packs for less.
This is actually a really good deal. Fiber nerd here and the fact that these are mostly cotton (cellulose) and modal (reconstituted cellulose) with some spandex means they’re gonna breathe and fit well. Especially if your bulge is bigger than the model’s cuz most dudes I’ve encountered have been better endowed than nice pec boy in the pics
What if you’re OCD and really do like them? You can never get more of them. I found some socks I love a couple years ago but then the place went under expanding to tshirts and sweatpants.
@bigjim_ Around here, the policy has long been “When you find something that works well, stock up; it will have vanished if you wait.” When the item is already in a remainder and closeout store, the situation is that much more obvious.
Having finally looked at some of the photos. I predict that a number of the buyers will soon complain that these have a tendency to creep downwards. But they’d work well for the guys who want to achieve the low-slung-pants look without brief peek.
Years ago, I tried a few brands of nicer cotton/cotton blend boxer briefs up to about $25/pair. They all stretched out by the end of a day and retained sweat when I played sports in hot weather. It’s weird to me that it’s almost universally acknowledged that cotton shirts and tanks are bad for sweaty activities, but some people still act like cotton underwear is the gold standard.
After trying several brands/types of athletic underwear, I found the Adidas Performance Mesh boxer briefs, and they’re easily the best I’ve found for sports and activities like hiking. Comfortable, breathable, dry quickly, durable. I have a drawer full of them.
I’ve bought so much underwear from here and it all immediately goes to goodwill. After toiling with the idea of dropping $60 on this all day I’ve decided to give it one more try. But I promise this will be the last underwear I buy from here if they suck. I’ve given up on any sheets Meh sells already!

For holding a large bunch of bananas.
WTF. This would last me 10 years. I still have a few pairs of tighty whities from 2000. 15 more (fresh un-“skid”marked, no holes underwear) would be like heaven
@bugger Bro, get a bidet next time Meh sells one!
@bugger
How is beech tree cellulose the same as cotton. Last I knew cotton didn’t come from a tree.
@Kidsandliz Thats the modal… the rest is cotton/spandex
@troy oh. thank you for clarifying that.
@Kidsandliz @troy
Modal is one of the various forms of rayon, like viscose bamboo.
@Kidsandliz
But, but, but…

@phendrick If you want to wear a tree on your butt feel free but I think you are barking up the wrong punny tree.
@troy

being a man, I do not have a need for more than one pair of underwear per day of the week. If this was $30/7 I might’ve bitten.
@smelltastic now you don’t have to do as much laundry.
@airmo @smelltastic Same amount of laundry, but many fewer times a year.
@smelltastic Tell us your single without using the word “single”.
@Hanky She’s never complained about either my underwear changing or laundry habits…
Daily underwear and weekly laundry doesn’t seem unusual to me? <shrug>
We always buy Loom of the Fruit underwear at Malwart…
Still have a bunch of those rayon briefs. Going to pass.

@haydesigner same about the thighs like tree trunks here. I’m glad you weighed in on this! Helped stop me from making a potential mistake myself
@haydesigner Totally agree. Sign me up for the extra 1.5” of length…not the 1.5” shorter ones.
@mikesmells I live serve
“hmmmm hard to buy underwear online, can’t be sure if I’ll like the fit and fabric. I’ve been burned before by the crap from TommyJohn”
“Okay…but what about buying FIFTEEN PAIRS?”
“Oh well then I’m in!”
@CraigDanger but think of the variety! All of the designs! It’ll be like Dan Flashes in your drawer drawer.
@CraigDanger @troy The patterns are so complicated!
@stormshadow999 Oh thaaat’s why they’re $28.
these are on the no-fly list.
@alacrity no fly, no buy
Anyone have any idea what MDRNST stands for or how to say it? I got abbreviations for Doctor, Nurse, and Street.
@growyoungagain I’m assiming MoDeRNiST? The manufacturer must have been a huge CHiPs fan.
@growyoungagain Funny, because my email starts with mdrn// Initials and I am an RN…
@Mandamm stay in the medical field, I can’t find on the web that these ever existed. I appreciate nurses.
@stormshadow999 the manufacturer was trying to be too MOD and well their exspensy product ended on a daily deal site.
@growyoungagain @stormshadow999 They disemvoweled themselves…
Maybe I’m blind-- Do these have a fly?
@WaltC you’ll go blind trying to find one.
@WaltC nope, no fly on these
@therealjrn @WaltC Flies are an extra charge, unless you are having soup in a restaurant.
@WaltC these get some when they get used and then don’t get washed…
Huh, the daily side deal seems a lot better? 6 pairs instead of 15, for a price I won’t regret if I hate them.
@Helot Pay really close attention to the size chart on those.
@Helot I ordered these last time. I really liked them but I ordered up 2 sizes. I usually wear a medium and I ordered XL. They fit great and I like how they feel.

Too small for my size, in the waistline and other areas.
@hchavers You mean, like when you’re traveling?
The photos are nice to look at. These look nice too, but $60 is too much for me for underwear. Perhaps if they were offered in pairs or six-packs for less.
@PooltoyWolf Easy fella, he’s shy & feels a little violated (see photo #9).
@ircon96 Haha!
I vow to never buy them ever.
Free your dickie.
Go commando.
Do people actually want a fly? Y’all don’t seriously make Little Johnson navigate through that, do you?
If it isn’t 100% cotton, forget it. I’ll keep my Jockeys.
@olperfesser We’ve got some 95% cotton / 5 % spandex here
Do people not use briefs anymore? they seem like they are getting harder to find
@fizban7 Considering more and more people are becoming obese, they’ve been getting harder to find for awhile…

@werehatrack I bought them and if they’re just that amazing I’ll hope I can get more ever cheaper come sell-off day.

These will go great with my cowboy hat.
Nice patterns. But some of us would benefit from VERTICAL stripes.
Having finally looked at some of the photos. I predict that a number of the buyers will soon complain that these have a tendency to creep downwards. But they’d work well for the guys who want to achieve the low-slung-pants look without brief peek.
Everybody knows vowels cost $50 each. They’d have to sell them in two-packs to get one vowel.

@Kabn the modal/spandex mix is why these were expensive, I assume
Not enough Green for me. I usually buy expensive ones from am online store. I think the ones I get are made in Columbia.
I’ve bought so much underwear from here and it all immediately goes to goodwill. After toiling with the idea of dropping $60 on this all day I’ve decided to give it one more try. @NadmanET Did you give the Comfort Republic a try?
Can we get a 5 for $20 or 10 for $40 option, $60 is a lot to drop on undies at once.
@mhm working on a random-color 9-pack… It’ll be close to the same price per pair but not quite. Did a 15-pack here since there were 15 unique styles
now i dont have to worry about undies for a while
