“I can always use more time with the flowers,” Gil said as they shuffled out. “I’m gonna see if I can reschedule my after-work appointment and head straight home. What do you think you’ll do?”
“I think I’ll actually take the boss’s advice and unplug a bit,” Bob said. “That sounds great, if you ask me.”
“Yeah, anything to stay away from my phone,” Gil said, “constantly refreshing for updates about what’s going on at Dod–”
“Oh, shoot,” Bob said, looking at his watch. “If I leave right now, I can get the express! Talk tomorrow, Gil!”
