I did not seek to be considered ‘professional’ or ‘intelligent’ or ‘discerning,’ nor did I worry about being perceived as ‘rude’ or ‘unkind’ or ‘frivolous.’ As I spoke to this man whose name I could not exactly say, I concerned myself only with being ‘nice’ and not ‘naughty.’ The only possible explanation I can come up with for this is latter, sillier word is that, I settled for whatever reason on wanting to be ‘nice,’ a completely normal attitude to seek, and then the other presented itself due to the mind’s natural inclination towards alliteration.)
