At the end of the day, to say goodbye, I bought him a drink at the bar. He admitted that he enjoyed his time but was excited to return home. He also said that I was doing a marvelous job (which I appreciated after all the insinuated insults heaved by Gabriella) and asked if I had been born into the business. At this point, I shared my unlikely origins in hospitality. Ollie seemed very surprised by this and asked to see the unsigned letter, saying that letters were a big part of his work. (So, toy production, stocking sewing, and now letter reading? What kind of place was this that he worked for?)
