Never buy speaker docks.
Inconvenient. Awkward. Embarrassing. Poorly thought-through. We’re not just talking about the texts we keep sending our cousin-in-law who teaches yoga at the nursing home. We’re talking about an even more disgusting crime against nature: speaker docks.
Speaker docks are what Pol Pot gives everyone on his Christmas list. Each one is a million Circuit City stores compressed into a black dwarf of pure imbecility. Using a speaker dock instead of, oh, any other possible way of charging your phone and listening to music is like turning down a Hiedsieck 1907 Diamant Bleu cuvée because you’d rather huff spray paint.
You can fool some of the people all of the time, but even the biggest morons are not going to keep buying portable speakers that take your mobile devices out of your hands… are they?
(Mediocre Laboratories exists to conduct experiments. This very site is one of them. And today we continue an experiment within an experiment begun last Friday: how many stupid speaker docks can we sell while urging you not to buy these stupid speaker docks?)
