The Stocking Stuffer: a Ghastly Christmas Meh-rathon
When he left, Ollie gave me one of his famous stockings, saying it might provide something to help, were the previous proprietor ever to return. I thought he meant the stocking itself, but the next morning, when I retrieved it from where it had been hanging on the inner doorknob of my office, I found Ollie had left something inside it (though I had not felt it the day before): a beautiful amulet. It really is quite amazing! Something about the way it reflects light makes it look often as if it is actually glowing!
