The Stocking Stuffer: a Ghastly Christmas Meh-rathon

In his later years, he claimed to have made a breakthrough of the non-pharmaceutical variety: he had discovered a way to essentially create an abyss. But when he tried to show his brothers, they could not perceive what he meant. He said he needed a very powerful microscope for them to see it, and even then, they witnessed little more than a blip. The next thing he blamed was the atmosphere. According to his brothers’ accounts, William Zagnaret said that the abyss required evil energy to grow, that if it could perceive chaos and negativity of an extreme degree, it would do its part for the universe: it would eat some of this energy and expand. It was sad, his brothers said, to see him driven to madness. He had passed away in an institution, some years later.
