2-for-Tuesday: X-Mini KAI Bluetooth Speaker
- Looks gimmicky
- Dorky name
- Good sound and Bluetooth-dongle capability will make you question everything you thought you knew about identifying cheesy gadget crap
OK, your turn.
Remember when last we got our hands on some of these cheesy-looking, dubiously named speakers a few weeks ago? Against all of our cynical, pessimistic, suspicious instincts, we were forced to admit that they were actually - ahem - surprisingly good. They sound pretty sweet for teeny little speakers. And we’re especially keen on its “dongle mode”, which turns any speaker system with an auxiliary input into a Bluetooth speaker.
465 of you took our word for it. 465 trusting souls took the gamble, buying an average of 1.47 X-Mini KAI Speakers each.
So how’d that turn out? What do you use them for? What are they good at? How do they suck? Have you tried that Bluetooth dongle thing? How’s that toothy speakery thing working out for you? Your fellow Mehtropolitans need to know!
We didn’t build that slick forum system to share embarrassing photoshops of our staff members. (Well, not just for that.) If you’re considering the X-Mini KAI, get in there and ask questions. If you bought it last time, kick some hardcore knowledge.
At least a few people who work here bought these for themselves, so they might have opinions of their own to share. And if you think they wouldn’t complain if they felt like Meh ripped them off, well, you don’t know the people who work here.
