Love the Holidays: a Meh-rathon
“Aww, shucks,” said Jed, the local. “I sure am tuckered out and dehydrated from the Santa Beach Run that we hold every year in this small Florida town!”
“Here, have a drink of my electrolyte beverage,” Joan offered.
“What is it?” said Jed. “Boy howdy, I never heard of no fancy stuff as that.”
“You’ve never heard of an electrolyte beverage?” said Joan. “But what about Gatorade!”
“Nope, only gator aide I provide is the medical kind, seeing as I’m a kindly veterinarian,” Jed said.
“No, but I’m trying to say, the most famous electrolyte beverage is literally named for the local team,” Joan said. “The University of Florida Gators.”
“Ain’t been much for college learning,” Jed said.
“But you just said you were a veter–” Joan began but Jed held up a hand silencing her.
“It’s really best if you don’t think too hard about these plots,” Jed said.
