With Great Power Comes…Mild Portability

Iron Man’s suit can for sure charge things, right? Maybe it happens off-screen or whatever, but at some point he definitely used that thing to top off an iPhone, or maybe a tablet. Or, like…an electric Porsche. That suit gets pretty powerful as time goes on.

Whether the robot suit can do that or not (and again…it can), we know one thing that’s definitely true—charging devices when no power is otherwise available is hero stuff. And sure, you can be heroic in relatively small ways, like when a mime trips a purse snatcher running by on the street. That’s like when someone’s phone dies and you have one of those little pocket-sized powerbanks handy.

But there are heroes and there are heroes.

So just imagine if instead of some rinkydink powerbank that manages to bail somebody out who has a dying smartphone, you’ve got something like today’s deal.

SATISFYINGLY HEFTY PRODUCT PLUNKING ON TABLE SOUND

THIS bad boy (slaps roof), isn’t just for recharging a phone that’s in low battery mode. It’s for charging, well…everything. It’s got 478Wh of juice on board, which all of you power capacity nerds are going to appreciate as amazing and everyone else can just take our word for it that it’s amazing. (But by all means seek out confirmation from the nerds in the comments. They’re always happy to geek out on such things.)

Weighing in at a chonky thirteen pounds, this thing has serious power on board. If you’re going a bit off grid or want to have something in case of emergency, it’s going to be there for you in a big way. You get three traditional outlets, a couple of regular USBs, a USB-C, and even one of those round 12-volt guys if you’re plugging in something weird like that.

There’s really no excuse not to have something like this. Unless…

…oh shit they retail for like $500. Never mind. That’s a TOTALLY valid reason not to have something like this. We’d rather eat a roasted possum cooked over a rudimentary campfire while we wait for the power to come back on than shell out four hundred bucks for something that we’re only probably going to definitely (for sure) need.

But refurbished? For $99.99? Now you’re talking.

It still isn’t exactly cheap, but this is a solid investment in keeping the juice flowing if you ever need to. After all, a three-day electrical grid failure is no reason to break your Duolingo streak.

So be the Iron Man power supply you want to see in the world. Your devices will thank you.
