The Whodunnit Gang and Jack the Pumpkin Man: a Meh-rathon
“You don’t live on the farm?” Val asked, coming up behind Bushy and Tooley, both of them somehow already wearing bibs and holding forks and knives, licking their lips at the feast the girl was packing up for them.
The girl scoffed. “No, thank god. This is my Aunt’s place. I help out so she and my Uncle can tend to the fields. Times are tough these days, with the water issues. But anyway, I don’t like to be out here after dark. On account of Jack and all.”
