The Whodunnit Gang and Jack the Pumpkin Man: a Meh-rathon
That night, the Institute of Gourd Studies held its annual Halloween Party. It turned out to be a massive success, thanks in large part to the local community. So relieved were the farmers to know that Jack the Pumpkin Man was behind bars that they all brought some of their prized pumpkin-flavored confections, more than making up for the otherwise drab assortment of store-brand chips.
While Val, Greg, Delilah, and Uncle Vincent danced, Bushy and Tooley made their way to the snack table.
“A little of this,” said Bushy, “and a little of this, and a little of this, and a little of this…”
And so it went until, finally, his snack plate towered nearly to the roof.
“Like, say, Tooley old pal, where do you want to sit to eat this stuff?” Bushy asked, but when he turned, the dog was no longer behind him. Instead, he was face-to-face with none other than Jack!
