2-Pack: RacingFun Double-Sided RC Stunt Car
Our Take
- Two cars that can do flips and tricks and stuff
- Here’s a good video of them in action
- One for you and for a friend
- Can they make a margarita: Despite all the flipping and dancing they can do, sadly, they are ill-equipped to mix a cocktail
For Dads
We know what you’re thinking.
How can I decide whether to buy a pair of RC cars based solely on a picture and a few paragraphs of copy? I need to see this thing in action! Preferably overlayed with the most generic pop punk song I’ve ever heard, and with the same tire-screech sound effect repeated at random intervals throughout.
Well, great news! Amazon has you covered!
Now, the timing of this sale might seem somewhat arbitrary. It’s a couple fun toys to play with outside during the summer. But there’s a reason we’re specifically selling it right now, the day before Father’s Day. Because this is the perfect belated Father’s Day gift to give yourself or the father figure in your life.
Why is it so ideal?
Two reasons.
First, there are two of them. That means dad and kid can play at the same time. Or, if there’s more than one kid, kid one and kid two can play while dad relaxes. Then, after bedtime, you’ve got a stunt car for each parent.
The second, less obvious one is hidden in that first one. It’s the relaxation element.
Kids in the 4-12 range have, in our experience, two modes:
- On the couch, watching TV, mesmerized to the point of being catatonic, totally unreachable.
And…
- Displaying energy levels that the most conditioned professional athlete cannot reach.
As a dad, you want to limit how much time your kids spend parked in front of the TV and encourage them to get some fresh air. Without direction, however, they might suggest a version of tag that involves scaling trees, or some other activity not attuned to an adult’s stamina and back health.
Having a pair of fun stunt cars gives dad and the kids a chance to do something engaging and cooperative yet easy on the parental body.
And yes, given that we’re selling this when it can’t possibly arrive by Father’s Day, you can probably tell that this sales pitch was built based on the day rather than the day chosen based on the sales pitch.
But we stand by it.
