2-Pack: HELIOS Heated Waistband Hand Warmer with 5400mAh Power Bank

Powerful Comfort

In some ways, this product fits into the same category as the Snuggie or the travel pillow, which is to say, it’s an item that demands you answer an important question: How stupid are you willing to look to feel comfortable?

Now, I would argue two things:

  1. These are objectively less stupid-looking than both the Snuggie and the travel pillow.

But also…

  1. Their best use case (outside, and therefore: in public) and relative rarity mean they will draw more attention than either of those other two products.

The Snuggie, after all, is meant for at-home use. You put one on to lounge around on a lazy Sunday morning. If you dare wear it outside, you do so with the intention of looking stupid. The travel pillow, meanwhile, is so ubiquitous at this point that you sometimes forget that it’s insanely ugly. It’s like seeing a New Beetle driving down the street in 2005; there are so many of them that you’re numb to the ridiculous shape.

Meanwhile, if you saw someone wearing this, walking down the street, what would you think?

Maybe that this is some sort of medical device to help the person recover from a grievous abdominal injury?

And yet, compared to those other products, this thing is, I would argue, infinitely more useful. The Snuggie could be replaced by a blanket, and I’m sorry, you’re sleeping like shit on an airplane, whether you have a travel pillow or not.

Something to warm your hands while you take a walk, though, serves an actual purpose. And when you’re performing those outdoor winter tasks that occasionally require the fine motor skills of ungloved hands, wouldn’t it be nice to be able to re-warm them in one of these?

And they can give your phone some power to boot!

Except that’s an inappropriate phrase to use, because boots are for feet, and these are for hands.

We sincerely apologize for any confusion.
