I chew gum just for the heck of it. Maybe because of fidgeting anxiety. Maybe because I’m bored. Maybe because I like the flavor. Sometimes I feel like snacking, but not actually hungry, so I might chew gum then.
used to, then was grinding my teeth at night / TMJ, quit the gum, started grinding less, never looked back. also have decided people look gross doing it (sorry!)

@LaserEyes ditto; when I’m full, but still want to eat, I chew gum to calm myself down.
And then end up chewing it all day instead of eating the next meal.

All my meds cause dry mouth. Gum is the only way I can talk
I naw on pretty much any thing. I have got away from gum. Pens/ Pencils are cheaper as they are given away.
