Rakes don’t work very well for cleaning up smaller bits of leaves and stuff on sidewalks or driveways. But brooms also do that, with slightly more effort.
I guess it boils down to leaf blowers trading effort for noise (and expense).
@xobzoo Or people could relax about their sidewalks having a little debris on them, and their bushes having some leaves around them, which will turn into nice mulch over the winter.
I’m with you on leaf blowers. I fucking hate them!
My HOA has “gardeners” walk up and down our street waving around leaf blowers early in the morning weekly, making a huge amount of noise and accomplishing nothing. And they belch out huge amounts of 2 stroke emissions which asphyxiate anything in the area.
All in all, one of the worst inventions I can think of for frequent aggravation!
@werehatrack But they can be less noisy - there’s a battery operated Stihl model that gardeners on the college campus use around classroom windows so they don’t drown out the professors.

I wish I could star this video more than once.

Now picture Kamala saying this. Looks pretty stupid now, doesn’t it.
@user78628060 No. Of course I don’t think any other super heroes from the MCU would look stupid saying it either.
Electric leaf blowers exist, for nearly as little reason.
