The thing about Sherlock Holmes is he makes crazy assumptions that would only be right a small fraction of the times.
"My Dear Watson you must fix the light in your bathroom…
…I notice your right side of your face isn’t shaved as neatly as the left, therefore concluded that you only had the light coming in from your window to shave by and only one side of your face got light"
What if Watson was just in a rush that day? It’s far more likely. I feel like in Sherlock’s fictional universe there must be lots of innocent people thrown in jail because of Sherlock’s crazy assumptions.
In all likelihood, Sherlock Holmes is really a blithering idiot who has ended up putting a bunch of innocent people in jail.
