Coffee, coffee, and more coffee. Did I say coffee? Oh, I forgot cream. Must have cream in the coffee for daily dairy. Oh, and sugar, cane sugar, so I get my vegetables too. Sugar cane is a green plant, right? Did I say I needed some coffee?
@altoidbox@stolicat a client once asked via a BA if I’d eaten during a disaster recovery test. As in the state user was standing over her shoulder while we were iming. I told her the microwave told me to enjoy my meal when it finished reheating the coffee.
It was funny at the time but we all hadn’t slept so…
Fruit smoothie. An orange, a banana, and enough frozen mixed fruits (blueberry, cherry, papaya, mango, pineapple, raspberries, strawberries, blackberries) to make it milkshake consistency.
Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day, but, tragically, usually occurs at my least favorite time of the day: morning. My favorite breakfast is Mickey D’s breakfast burritos, but I enjoy all of the listed options. Sometimes simultaneously!
@cpierce@inanna we had “Wednesday Night Waffles” which was sung as a cha-cha. Always a favorite when our son was little and we needed to go somewhere after.
Cheerios with unsweetened vanilla almond beverage (milk). Topped with Blueberries, Blackberries, Raspberries, and sometimes strawberries. A little drizzle of honey. I have this every weekday morning at work and it never gets old.
@chienfou Yeah… but it’s gotta be unsweetened, regular Cheerios. Haven’t had it in a while but actually had bought the stuff a few days back to have some again. Usually just coffee and sometimes the full cooked bkfst. But I do like the Cheerios and unsweetened vanilla almond milk too!
Coffee mostly. On the occasion I do want a breakfast it’s eggs, meat, toast and usually fried taters.
If I had to get up early and leave on the run, Ezekiel sesame toast w/ peanut butter.
Most often, just a toasted bagel with chunky peanut butter or butter, black coffee and fruit. Today it’s last night’s leftover mashed potatoes fried in a patty until it has a golden brown crust, two fresh eggs (from our chickens) over easy, toasted English muffin and black coffee. Yum!
Nothing, because I do intermittent fasting. But when I do eat breakfast (on work days), I eat sunflower seed butter (or almond butter) on brown/black rice bread, with organic fruit preserves, pesticide-free and gmo-free hemp seeds, maybe a touch of himalayan pink salt, non-gmo walnuts, and a bit of monkfruit. Amazing Add some strawberries, raspberries, or blackberries beforehand, and I’m in heaven Oh and can’t forget my daily dose of Kratom!
P.S. The best breakfast on a day off is unquestionably a bit of Psilocin/Psilocybin Mushrooms, a tab of LSD, a hit of Cannabis, or a few puffs of that gold ol’ DMT for a nice reality check to start (or fill out) your day
Sunday morning I make homemade cathead biscuits, 1/2lb sausage, 1/2 bacon and gravy for…one. I leave for work around 2am weekdays. Big breakfast on Sunday, bacon, egg and cheese biscuits thru the week and biscuit and ??? on Saturday.
@shaunanl you are not - weekdays, it’s a Clif bar eaten in the truck while driving to work. Later in the morning it’s a hard-boiled egg and 1/2 a sandwich.
@macromeh well, I watched…no endured…no suffered through the entire eleven minutes and twenty-two seconds (just looks longer when spelled out, don’t ya think?) and true to Weird Al form, it answered precisely zero. Other than to peer a little into the abyss of the mind of an imbecile (a moniker which, I suggest, Weird Al would wear proudly).
Weekdays - boiled eggs and slice of wheat toast w/peanut butter or fruit preserve (not eaten together!)
Weekends - over easy eggs, bacon, slices of wheat toast (one buttered, other w/fruit preserve)
Lately, nothing, because I’m doing intermittent fasting. Previously, an omelet with spinach or kale or other greens, plus maybe some refried beans on the side. And today, something indulgent because I’m going out for brunch
@grimblegromble I’ve been having skyr on the days when I can’t make it without breakfast. Seems to be enough protein and fast to tide me over. I do love those Belvita biscuits, though.
Any of the above including the occasional grits/bacon/cheese (nursing home prevention diet) or omelet/fritata/bfast casserole. Since I work in the afternoon to evening usually I often have a large b’fast around lunchtime after just having coffee all morning (or a yogurt/banana/fresh pineapple chunks with granola if I get up particularly early)
@jerk_nugget also, my favorite is pancakes but i rarely feel like standing at the stove doing all that. on the rare occasion we’d go out for breakfast i’d be having them tho. or maybe a belgian waffle. other things i might make less often include crepes with skyr and fruit compote, omelettes, or challah french toast.
@jerk_nugget oooh, challah French toast! Eggy bread, dipped in eggs - what’s better! Though I’ve had banana bread French toast which I can never finish, but it’s awesome!
@hchavers Why would you defile the glorious coffee with cream and sugar?
@hchavers the correct order is coffee, black,hot maybe some salt if it’s too bitter
@hchavers @unksol
Q: How do you like your coffee?
A: Like my women…
Q: Hot and Black?
A: No… strong and bitter…
Chocolate chip cookies
Eggs and grits.
Bonus points for yellow grits.
@JT954 None of that instant crap either!
@JT954 oh man cheese grits. Made with lots of butter and 50:50 water & half and half and cheese. And freshly minced garlic if I’m feeling extra.
@JT954 Per serving…
1/8 tsp dry mustard
1/8 tsp dill
2 dashes of hot sauce(or more to taste)
1 Tbsp Parmesan cheese
Mix in when making grits.
1 egg sunny side up add atop when serving
@JT954 @rtjhnstn You forgot bacon crumbles.
@JT954 @rtjhnstn NOW you’re talkin!
Favorite or what I have?
Favorite - smoked salmon, cream cheese and capers on bagle
Everyday - 2 shots of espresso…
Does coffee count as breakfast?
@altoidbox coffee always counts …
@altoidbox @stolicat a client once asked via a BA if I’d eaten during a disaster recovery test. As in the state user was standing over her shoulder while we were iming. I told her the microwave told me to enjoy my meal when it finished reheating the coffee.
It was funny at the time but we all hadn’t slept so…
@altoidbox absocafolutely!
Usually, I have yogurt with cereal and fruit. I prefer pancakes but can’t have them often or I would be way overweight!
Coffee. With Half & Half. Lunch is at noon. 🥴
Fruit smoothie. An orange, a banana, and enough frozen mixed fruits (blueberry, cherry, papaya, mango, pineapple, raspberries, strawberries, blackberries) to make it milkshake consistency.
Banana and a pastry…often on the go.
Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day, but, tragically, usually occurs at my least favorite time of the day: morning. My favorite breakfast is Mickey D’s breakfast burritos, but I enjoy all of the listed options. Sometimes simultaneously!
@cpierce Our family did breakfast for dinner quite often… and a burrito (bean/cheese/salsa/guac) for breakfast.
@cpierce @inanna I think it’s termed brinner
@cpierce @inanna we had “Wednesday Night Waffles” which was sung as a cha-cha. Always a favorite when our son was little and we needed to go somewhere after.
@inanna @unksol Brinner? Wasn’t he in The King and I?
@cpierce @inanna @unksol Yul be sorry about that pun later…
Bananas are usually involved.
Cheerios with unsweetened vanilla almond beverage (milk). Topped with Blueberries, Blackberries, Raspberries, and sometimes strawberries. A little drizzle of honey. I have this every weekday morning at work and it never gets old.
@accelerator I used to eat that a lot too. Sometimes still do. But usually no fruit (occasionally blueberries). No sweetener.
@lseeber So… bowl of cereal and almond milk… right?
@chienfou Yeah… but it’s gotta be unsweetened, regular Cheerios. Haven’t had it in a while but actually had bought the stuff a few days back to have some again. Usually just coffee and sometimes the full cooked bkfst. But I do like the Cheerios and unsweetened vanilla almond milk too!
@lseeber agreed, tho I am a ‘generic’ cheerios kind of guy… Doesn’t need to be the real deal…
@chienfou I don’t know that I’ve ever had the generic but I’m sure it’s just the same. I just don’t want honey nut or anything like that.
@lseeber
Pop tarts
Coffee mostly. On the occasion I do want a breakfast it’s eggs, meat, toast and usually fried taters.

@macromeh potato pancakes FTW!
Go No breakfast
Sausage, eggs, and Eggos is my usual breakfast, when I have the time.
@mikeureko
@davido where’s the cat in that? I don’t even see any catfish
@unksol gomenasai. Refers to size. Cat are much too fuzzy.
1 small avocado or 1/2 large
1/2 c. frozen strawberries
1 1/2 c. unsweetened almond milk
2-3 packets Truvia
Blend until smooth, and enjoy a low carb boost! I have one every morning and they’re really good.
@msqaf00 whoops…I meant 3/4 c. Almond milk.
Am I the only one that just grabs a granola bar as I’m running out the door?
@shaunanl you are not - weekdays, it’s a Clif bar eaten in the truck while driving to work. Later in the morning it’s a hard-boiled egg and 1/2 a sandwich.
@shaunanl I just don’t eat breakfast most days. When I do bother to try it’s oatmeal. So a soggy granola bar
toast with butter and orange marmalade. black coffee on the side.
@bayportbob you get a star for not ruining your coffee
A BIG BOWL OF SAUERKRAUT!
EVERY SINGLE MORNING!
@macromeh do people notice when you haven’t had your morning sauerkraut? And what does that look like? Kind of curious…
@ybmuG The video will disclose all…
@macromeh well, I watched…no endured…no suffered through the entire eleven minutes and twenty-two seconds (just looks longer when spelled out, don’t ya think?) and true to Weird Al form, it answered precisely zero. Other than to peer a little into the abyss of the mind of an imbecile (a moniker which, I suggest, Weird Al would wear proudly).
Breakfast burrito or breakfast casserole if it’s going to be a long day out of the house, but for a day in it’s usually toast and tea or rice pudding
Weekdays - boiled eggs and slice of wheat toast w/peanut butter or fruit preserve (not eaten together!)
Weekends - over easy eggs, bacon, slices of wheat toast (one buttered, other w/fruit preserve)
Fruit. Apples or pineapple.
Lately, nothing, because I’m doing intermittent fasting. Previously, an omelet with spinach or kale or other greens, plus maybe some refried beans on the side. And today, something indulgent because I’m going out for brunch
@ahacksaw I have been doing the same and if I can’t definitively make it to lunch, I’ll crush a pack of Belvita biscuits.
@grimblegromble I’ve been having skyr on the days when I can’t make it without breakfast. Seems to be enough protein and fast to tide me over. I do love those Belvita biscuits, though.
@ahacksaw I’ve never had skyr before. Might have to see if I can get any around me.
My usual breakfast is seasonal fruit and plain yogurt with Penzey’s apple pie spice blend sprinkled on top.
Banana and oatmeal, except on Saturdays. I crush biscuits and breakfast sandos on the weekends.
Half a mini watermelon.
Whatever leftovers I can find, usually with a glass of beer or wine, depending on which one matches.
Of course, I have breakfast after work right before bedtime.
/image peanut butter toast
For breakfast I have a really late lunch or early dinner. I cant eat for several hours after I wake up.
@ralimore I can’t either. If I have breakfast, it’s usually closer to lunchtime.
Croissant with Nutella
@sicc574 That would be my go-to breakfast, but I keep reading the Nutella label and my doctor would bitch slap me for it.
@mehcuda67 @sicc574 is your doctor Tom Seguras doc? Id take once for the team and get the bitch slap on tape so we could all enjoy it.
Some red boudin, over easy egg, and grits with a pat of butter. With less time, (aka I gots shit to do), a boudin breakfast burrito from .
@mike808 That looks delish!
Whatever pastries we have in the house. Followed by a cup of tea when I go back to my computer.
Protein shake and an almond butter sandwich with whole grain bread. Balanced macros to start the day
weekday: key lime skyr with homemade granola and maybe fruit
weekend: seasonal fruit dutch baby and sausages, or blueberry muffins and a dunkin donuts run for beverages.
OWLS! TOWELS! JOWLS! AWESOME!
Canadian bacon and fried eggs with buttered Thomas English muffin, coffee.
Protein shake. Two scoops of protein, one of Ovaltine, a packet of instant coffee, and some milk. Great start to the day.
@fuzzmanmatt Same. Mine is whey isolate, green vibrance, coconut milk (aldi’s) and fruit.
Literally nothing.
