@DrWorm I am just glad when, thinking it is time to get up, I see its 3 AM and I suddenly remember that I’m retired, and I can get up whenever I want. Win!
@f00l Well, I was in bed before 3:15 AM… but then I did four sudokus and read for about 30 minutes. I did hit the snooze at 8:30 AM tho, first for 30 minutes, then for 20 minutes.
Had a really weird dream too: it was sort of like a cross between a Stargate SG-1 plot and the three shots at history concepts of Run Lola Run and Thrice Upon a Time spun together, with the main character (in my dream) being a mix of Tessa Altman from Suburgatory and my daughters (rolled into a single character) who only had three shots at changing history before time ran out and everything just ended.
It has been quite a while since I watched Run Lola Run or Suburgatory and even longer (decades) since I read Thrice Upon a Time. I have been bingeing Stargate SG-1 so I guess that explains part of it.
Note that I only had one relatively small scotch. I did eat a bunch of (unpreserved) gummi-bears… maybe that’s what caused it.
@DrWorm I’m jealous. I get up at 3am on the regular. But going back to sleep is less likely for me. I do get them from time-to-time though, and when it happens, it is glorious.
@baqui63 I’ve had Stargate SG-1 dreams several times each year since the show ended. They always involve pretty much the same basic premise, just some variation in the specifics. The show gets into your head. They’re my favorite dreams. Maybe try Fruit Loops instead of gummi bears next time.
That’s like the time I was sitting at a game night at 3am kinda hungry and the party had hit a lull, and I remembered I had hidden a package of nachos on the top shelf.
I am just glad when, thinking it is time to get up, I see its 3 AM and I get to go back to sleep for another 3 hours.
@DrWorm The little victories are the sweetest.
@DrWorm Shit. It is almost 3 AM… I should get to sleep as I need to be up in a few hours.
@baqui63
Fuhgeddaboudit.
Hopeless.

Gummy Bears and Scotch. I’d say you deserved that dream.

@ACraigL I would do anything or kill anyone to get a different job that didn’t require me to get up at 3am.

@alphapeaches But were they pulled pork nachos?
It’s not 2017.
@mfladd
2017 is 2017.
From a certain POV anyway.

@f00l I’ve watched that entire video. Terrifying.
@f00l So much nope.
@f00l here’s a different one. Lots of these videos.
@RiotDemon
sheeeeeite!!!
@RiotDemon It’s the fish-eye lens that makes the slope seem so much steeper and dangerous than it really is. Also the bloodstains.
That pulled pork sounds amazing for some pulled pork tacos.
