Granted, the whole series isn’t my thing. But even if it was, the wack facial expressions would put my interest in this at Zero. They spent all that money, but they can’t create a normal-looking human face?!
@UncleVinny it’s called the uncanny valley. The closer to photorealistic the graphics get the more glaringly the areas they fall short in stand out and unnerve us.
@jbartus it’s not even the uncanny valley though. It’s several steps backward in art and animation quality from the previous Mass Effect titles. The characters look like sweaty bacon, the facial expressions don’t convey the intended emotions, the lip movements don’t sync with the words (and sometimes just look absolutely comical, not like anything people do with their lips while talking). It honestly all looks like something I’d expect from Goat Simulator.
