Fix it. Been working on things all my life. We were too poor to hire anything out. So of necessity, one learned to fix it long, long, long before an Internet and YouTube! That was passed on to my son as the whole family for many generations have been mechanically inclined, who excels at such things. He can usually fix what I can’t at my age.
It is hard to remember the last time, I had to call in a “pro.”
I feel like we already covered this on the are you a car person. It’s unfortunate this is still not fixed. If you need someone to crawl in there and see what’s wrong I also code.
Currently the bank 1 exhaust is broke free and the front brakes have a very slight grind but it’s very cold out. And even the garage is only 45 but there’s limited room to maneuver. I think it can weight a bit.
Plus the neighbors can’t hear me cursing if I do it in the garage and I don’t want them to feel left out
@warpedrotors it’s come out breaks several times when I’m swiping on the phone. I think I caught them all but I had to look to see if you were mocking me. Lol
The swipe path on a phone keyboard is actually very similar so I’m not surprised. But wait/weight is 100% brain short circuit
I have a brief moment when I wish my ex was still around because he knew about cars and could keep me from getting ripped off, but then I come to my senses and make an appointment at the dealership. The one where I bought my car has apparently seen the light and doesn’t add random repairs to what they tell you is wrong (in fact, they even told me I didn’t yet need a couple things on the list of things to do at my 10K service), so I feel OK using them, and it’s just so much more convenient.
Research it on the Interwebz and decide how much I need to worry about it. I know very little about cars, so if it’s at all significant, I’ll take it to the shop.

I know it’s causing bank 1 to run the long term fuel trim wide open because there is no valid input back from the oxygen sensors. I know it’s killing my gas mileage. But. I’m ok with that for now lol. I literally do crank the radio up.
look up a youtube video on how to fix it
Fix it, mostly. But I don’t do automatic transmissions.
I try to fix it and if I can’t I go to a repair shop.

@narfcake I believe the common term is scrap metal. But on the bright side, you only need 18 more to qualify for junkyard status.

If still under warranty, off to the dealer it goes. If not under warranty, DIY. I can do many repairs on my own.

Just turn up the radio, you will not hear it anymore.
@rancho This may result in the installation of extra inspection ports in the side of the block. That is generally regarded as a bad idea.
