The guy tests (exhaustively) to ensure quality sound, and has a rating system that I found useful when shopping for some not expensive, but still fantastic earbuds. I don’t like to spend money (hence the meh shopping), but I hate trading for lower quality.
@brmarwedel I love my Moondrop models (Starfield and Blessing 2 Dusk). Inexpensive, and they truly reward any willingness to feed them high quality sources through a clean chain (DAC/Amp).

I am someone who wants to get the most value for the money spent. Sometimes that means spending a lot, sometimes not. If great sound is what you want, you have to go wired and Grado provides great bang for the buck. For wireless, anything cheap that fits my ears and has a decent mic for taking calls. BT compresses music so there is no reason to spend big bucks on wireless. Good enough is good enough. Right now I am using some Monster BT buds that are good enough, and the price was wright , under $30. For other audio stuff, there is no one brand that does everything well.
I use Jabra 75t; they sound good and can be eq’d but considering I bought them 3 years ago I wouldn’t recommend them at this point as there are many better options.
Wired. Getting harder to find these days, but luckily I don’t need to buy them very often because there aren’t any fancy electronics to break or batteries to run out of juice.
I think I’ve owned about 5 pairs of earbuds all my (short) life.
Earbuds hurt and my ears get all waxy and gross when I use them for long periods of time. I really only use over the ear headphones. The AKG N60NC I got bundled with a Samsung phone a few years ago still rock. Probably the best sounding headphones I’ve had in forever and a day.
Earbuds: whatever I’ve bought from meh.com. For remote meetings, I use earbuds that came with a work blackberry 8 years ago. But, for me, you can’t beat listening to music through speakers.
I don’t use earbuds or in-ear headphones because they give me tinnitus. God when am I going to get rid of tinnitus! Now I prefer to use Naenka bone conduction headphones, at least they don’t make me deaf early in my good years.
Anker / Soundcore has some good quality products for an excellent price. Same with JBL.

I have some BeyerDynamic headphones I got with my turntable from BuyDig. They’re good.
I despise ear buds, ear plugs, qtips, wet willys, anything that goes inside the ear.
Delta (Airlines) wired earbuds are what I’m using now.
I rarely use earbuds due to hearing aids (which happen to also be a Bluetooth headset)
