There is no choice for “zero”, which is what I’ve spent on earbuds to date. The ones that came with various devices were unwearable, and the couple of pairs that I’ve been gifted were, if anything, worse. My ears apparently just don’t tolerate that kind of thing, and they won’t stay put in any event.
I put the 10-29 range because my actual range wasn’t listed. I have never spent more than $1 on earbuds. Most have been free or included with something. They never stay in my ears so I never cared to look for better ones. Also kind of uncomfortable for me. I’d rather have over the head headphones honestly.

For the sake of brevity, I am ignoring the distinction between “ear buds” and “in-ear headphones” and lumping them all as “ear buds”.
Actual “ear buds” are a torture device invented by the devil to inflict pain in your ear.

I have certainly spent more for “real” headphones (over ear, or even on-ear), but for walking/exercising, I opt for something like the cheapest Sony in-ears that retail between $9.99 and $17.99 and I can get for half that when they go sale at Target.
@Salanth same. but mine stay put (but I’m not a runner so ymmv). Sound quality is the best of any I’ve tried, BT connection is solid, charge lasts a long time and they recharge quickly, and for phone calls and conferences and zoom connections everyone says it sounds better than talking on the phone directly. They were pricey, but worth it to have solid reliable units.
I’m actually in the market for some ear buds. I bought a mid to cheap pair off of amazon and they just don’t work that great. Looking for a nicer pair. Any thoughts?
I got some true wireless Jabra Sport blablablas a couple of years ago for around $80. They’re very good in terms of audio, but earbuds don’t work well with my ears, especially now that I’m wearing hearing aids again. I have a cheapie pair of wired ones that fit better.
@chienfou I have those hearing aids too! I really like the Bluetooth feature—not audiophile quality, but yeah, pretty good. And more comfortable than earbuds.
Got the kid some Raycon earbuds for under $100… he loves them has used constantly since he got them in May… but for myself whatever earbuds come with my phone when I upgrade are the only earbuds I need
When I started working from home I tried several different earbuds, including Jabra, Motorola and a few from Five Below, but I needed ones that had noise cancellation in order to drown out my neighbor blasting death metal on his stereo while I was on conference calls. The Samsung Galaxy Buds that I got “free” with my phone were awful and kept dropping calls. I switched to Bose SoundSport Free that I got from Amazon because they had an exclusive purple edition and I was able to use some Prime Rewards points to offset the cost. After getting so many complaints about hearing the birds that were outside my window when I was on conference calls, I decided I needed to use something else. After considerable research, I decided to get AirPods Pro. I had accumulated enough points on one credit card to reduce the price from $250 to only $79. Yay! So far they are working out to be the best. The wired Libratone Q Adapt In-Ear USB-C ANC Headphones from Meh are pretty good, but somewhat limiting due to being tethered while in use.

The Timekettle earbuds that include instant translations; I think they were about $120. I haven’t downloaded any languages yet, mostly because I haven’t left my locality since COVID started.
Before that, it was the Samsung Galaxy Buds BTS edition for $89 at Woot; I’m not so much of a BTS fan as I am a fan of purple.

OTOH my new hearing aids from Costco are BT enabled so I don’t have to wear earbuds any more! Thwy actually sound pretty good too.

$140-ish for some Galaxy Buds Plus, and another $12 or so for a set of Spinfit ear gels. They sound great and fit reasonably well, so no regrets.
