Depends on which side of the swimming pool you hail from.
Decades ago, I remember talking to a male colleague before a trip to the UK. He liked to run a few miles in the early morning. No problem, but: "DO NOT call what you wear running pants, and whatever you do, DO NOT refer to that thing around your waist as a fanny pack! " But did he listen and remember? Nope.
I wore jeans for years (decades), then bought technical pants from Eddie Bauer for hiking, traveling, etc. Realized how comfortable they are and how much better they look. Wear them everyday now. (EB sells some version of these at Costco, but they seem to be a lesser material. I like the Guide Pro. Wait for a discount and you can get them for about $50.)
In order of preference for pants (colder weather):
Yoga
Fleece
Flannel
Fellow men: if you’ve never tried yoga pants, keen an eye out for sales, especially Nike (I own multiple pairs). By far the most comfortable lounging pants I’ve found.
My pants aren’t large enough to fit around the house.

I wear my jeans until I get ready for bed. Then I go to bed. Am I supposed to change while I’m at home during the day?
Seems I’m the only one that just wears my pants
@Ignorant What would the rest of us want with your pants, anyway?
