@macromeh I dunno. I think most of my painting is based around things from Louisiana. It’s pretty usual. I haven’t painted anything crazy in a long while.
I still haven’t finished this one. I was supposed to finish it when I was down there in May but we spent more time with glass instead. But he’s pretty usual I would say.

Another suggestion for people is Liquid Mind. Ambient music used for sleep therapy. I bought a CD once and it actually had a sticker warning about driving while listening to it.
Lay awake scrolling through the internet usually obsessed with shopping for more stuff I don’t need. The TV is always on in the background, usually ID investigate true crime stuff, Snapped is a favorite too. Everything is taped, god forbid we watch any commercials, have to fast forward through all of those. My guy is only a semi sleeper too, we talk all night long in between one of us dozing off for a hour or so. Around 5 or 6am the TV gets shut off and we try to get a couple of winks in before the daily grind starts. Never could have imagined that this would be my life in my 50’s!

I get up and read for a while in the recliner and usually end up falling asleep there.
Hot cocoa, made with milk, a dash of cream, and a sprinkle of pie spice.
Read a book on economics, or the history of Canada, or something…
Plan a cruise.
I count all of my wins from the Meh fantasy football league, which I was also dominating in last year around this time. Darn playoffs.

Read (the Old Testament is good if you’re serious about sleep) until I drop the book or tablet/Kindle, play a video game until I drop the controller.

Find something I really want to watch on TV. It puts me to sleep every time.
