I got one of these here before at $89. It does need a somewhat darkened environment. We’ve done movie night in the driveway using a firestick with neighbors and everyone thought it was great. The fan is a little louder than I’d like but you really don’t notice unless the movie is super quiet. My only complaint is that it doesn’t have Bluetooth to connect a speaker. I bought a really long audio cable to connect to a speaker near the screen instead of using the built-in speaker. Overall, I’m pretty happy with it, especially for the price.
According to the additional specs, the brightness is 200 ANSI lumens. So probably a darkened room, especially if you want to populate that entire 100" screen.
At least it doesn’t look like they’re outright lying on the brightness. I’m sure on Amazon, some dealer would list a similar unit as 20,000 lumens
@mehcuda67 Yeah, I gotta give it to Vanko for keeping it real with ANSI lumens. This think at 200 ANSI lumens was plenty for a 150" projection size in a dark room (nighttime dark but with a hall light on).
I got one of these and have been really impressed by the performance especially for the cost. I use this for outdoor movie night and it really does well shining onto my stucco wall, even with some ambient lighting.
Fed ex dropped this sucker off late this evening. I had to at least try it out right quick.
This this is so much better than I had any reasonable expectation for. In a dark room, it is very much bright enough for 150" projection size and… In a pinch, I could actually use the built in speaker and not hate it. Yeah, edges are soft focus but watching a movie, it really is a non issue.
I have the (720p native resolution) Leisure 410 Vankyo model and am happy with the performance for the price. LED bulbs, so needs a dark environment, but otherwise a quite functional projector for movies/games.
@summetj yeah, I have that one too and have been very happy with it for projecting out back at night powered by a little power bank thing. Or actually, projecting anywhere where it is dark or dim lighting.
This 600 is WAY brighter but pulls about 160 watts.
I also have one of these, without the screen (purchased from W**t). As previously stated I am also overall pretty impressed with the output brightness and clarity. Definitely serves my needs.
My wife uses our old Vankyo 720P to project problems for her ACT prep classes.

@hakanama
you could pair it with one of these maybe. Not sure if there would be enough lag to be noticeable or not.

Junk
@arbdef Any reason why? My projector just went out and for $100 seems reasonable for the specs
@WTFestiva You will want a really dark room for this to look ok.
This is $10 more expensive than last year.
Not a single mention of lumen output, yeah it’s probably junk.
