I find it amusing that the photos seem to have had all evidence of a brand name scrubbed from them. Also there are some weird websites in the list, as of this writing.
@PooltoyWolf@thechilipepper0 Guess they are looking to see if we are paying attention. Coming from the antibiotic site, perhaps they are hoping then you won’t need to buy some once you scrub all your skin off.
Searched Amazon for this product or a similar one. Loads of facial exfoliating scrubbers selling for about the same price as here with some amazingly good reviews – mostly in the 4 - 4,5 star range.
Took a fair bit of scrolling to find this: https://smile.amazon.com/Trophy-Skin-Ultrasonic-Exfoliation-Anti-Aging/dp/B007R4ONS2/ which was the most similar in appearance, $144, and a 3.3 average rating with loads of one star reviews. With comments ranging from causing skin damage to the thing not working at all to a lack of ability to get a refund. Oh and it’s $145 there.
Thought we had a winner but that one doesn’t just merely claim to be ultrasonic. It claims to be a serum infuser. That alone would give our skeptical meh copywriter a few more paragraphs of disbelief to write.
Amazon was quick to recommend this instead: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07PHDQZ6K/ which doesn’t have a mister nor a serum infuser but not only is it ultrasonic, it also claims to moisturize the skin via iontophoresis! That’s a beautiful five-syllable load of bunk if I ever heard one… Yet it has a 4.4 star rating and is cheaper than this one.
Sorry meh, for once the Amazon reviews convinced me not to buy your offering, not merely because of, umm mediocre reviews but that there might actually be some genuinely decent products (BS aside) out there for less than what you’re selling one for.
@cinoclav@phendrick@tinamarie1974 I don’t mind over-analysis. I do mind a self righteous douche writing sanctimoniously about something that really isn’t anything more than childish humor for the simple sake of being nothing more than childish humor…
Oh, and I guess Weird Al didn’t come up with that phrase.
@tinamarie1974 So I have seen! (and my daughter and son in law just got back from swimming with dolphins and sea lions in S Mexico… and it kissed her on the mouth! lol. They got a pic, haha.
@cinoclav - Superman? Meh - I want more of those stupid monsters Ultraman used to take on. That show fascinated me as a kid - you knew the people coming up with that stuff thought differently than anyone you knew:
@Hanky@lljk@cinoclav I find the “Newegg Marketplace” really annoying. Is the part I’ve just found coming from Newegg in a few days, or from China in a few weeks?
Yea, you can filter it out, but that’s one more unnecessary step.
And don’t get me started on refurb, aka used/returned parts. Why on earth would I buy a used CPU or motherboard that someone else has screwed up? Sorry, I just don’t believe it is possible for a retailer to refurbish a CPU.
I tried to spray it on my face but mist.
@dasred Bad dad joke winner!
@dasred Butt mist? I don’t like the sound of that.
Seems like a pore product.

@PooltoyWolf I thought it was just me! Some weird shit going on
@PooltoyWolf @thechilipepper0 Guess they are looking to see if we are paying attention. Coming from the antibiotic site, perhaps they are hoping then you won’t need to buy some once you scrub all your skin off.
@PooltoyWolf I think this might be spam. This happened before with porn sites. I notified meh.
@PooltoyWolf @RiotDemon Sometimes it’s porn spam so be careful.
Model: F4C3-TH3-F4CT5
Does someone get paid extra to come up with these?
This image of Irk will haunt me for the rest of my days…
@shahnm Crack kills.
@cinoclav It’s as much the eye shadow as anything else…
@cinoclav @shahnm oh damn that is creepy
@shahnm Irk used this pore cleanser??
The video says “FDA Approved” but the NewEgg page says “FDA Cleared”. Very different as John Oliver says
@shreedhan Nice reference to current topics
@shreedhan Thanks, I just spent two hours watching John Oliver videos on YouTube.
@therealjrn well you know who to blame… just sayin’
Mister who?
@MrJazz
@MrJazz I was hoping for Mister Spock.

The coffee vanilla sounds pretty good. Maybe in cookie form instead.
So can my hands.

@tinamarie1974 And… my mind is in the gutter.
@mediocrebot @tinamarie1974
Good to know…
@cinoclav i mean, I am an exceptional linguist. I knew what I was doing!
@cinoclav @tinamarie1974 A cunning linguist, to steal a phrase from the inimitable Weird Al…?
@cinoclav @shahnm nice

[if you don’t mind a little over-analysis]
@cinoclav @shahnm @tinamarie1974 Love the second comment on that article.

This is peak pedantry
@cinoclav @shahnm @tinamarie1974
[a grammarian’s anthem?]
Thanks, @shahnm, I had not been aware of this song before!
@cinoclav @phendrick @shahnm @tinamarie1974
@thechilipepper0
Pedantry, schmedantry.
Y’all all just a bunch of master debators.
@tinamarie1974 See… that’s a sub’s job…lol.
@lseeber. Only if I want it to be i think you want to be punished
@tinamarie1974 haha… I think you’d be thinking wrong. I wear the high boots in my neck of the woods.
@lseeber
@tinamarie1974 Seems like there oughta be some sort of punny involving riding a dolphin, no?
@lseeber careful, as much as I love dolphins, they like to have their “way” with humans
@tinamarie1974 So I have seen! (and my daughter and son in law just got back from swimming with dolphins and sea lions in S Mexico… and it kissed her on the mouth! lol. They got a pic, haha.
@tinamarie1974
@lseeber yup! I did that in the dominican. It is amazing to spend time with them Luckily it did not slip me any tongue
@tinamarie1974 lol. yuck.
@lseeber @tinamarie1974 Yeah, that sounds a little fishy.
MEH, WTF? It is only your model number that comes up. REALLY!?!?!?! And it is made in CHINA? Along with the misting solution? NOT GONNA BUY IT.
Good grief morning show women’s left over crap two days in a row. It didn’t sell well on morningsave so it’s being dumped here? Giant meh.
Edit - also no reviews. Is that because everyone who used it died or had their face and hands eaten away and so couldn’t leave a negative review?
@Kidsandliz Nah, it’s because no one was dumb enough to buy it for $299.
@cinoclav I guess they are hoping we’d be dumb enough to put a match to a smaller amount of money. Nope nope nope.
Please keep this crap on morningsave! I knives and speakerdocks! Makes me glad I cancelled VMP
Hmm…this might make a great addition to my turbo encabulator…
@thebigtverberg love those unilateral phase detractors
@nolrak Completely agreed. If I buy six I can attach to the hydrocoptic marzlevanes, which would completely eliminate the side fumbling.
A poor cleanser??!! When are they gonna put out a rich cleanser??
@eeterrific The rich can afford to hire a poor to do the cleansing.
A Mister? Will have to check with the missus…
/giphy this is a new low
Think I’ll just use my soon-to-arrive spare Sonicare toothbrush for exfoliating.
@cinoclav I have one of those and I think it would be painful. It is supersonic.
@tinamarie1974 But is super stronger than ultra? Hmm, now I want to see Superman vs. Ultraman!
/giphy ultraman
@cinoclav - Superman? Meh - I want more of those stupid monsters Ultraman used to take on. That show fascinated me as a kid - you knew the people coming up with that stuff thought differently than anyone you knew:
Must be made in Germany… (Mist: manure, dung, rubbish, droppings…)
so heres crap in ur face… very techy…ultrasonically speaking…
$299 at Newegg? WTF, since when has Newegg sold stuff other than computer parts?
@lljk For as long as I can remember.
@lljk $139.99 with free shipping on eBay?
https://www.ebay.com/itm/LuminaNRG-Ultrasonic-Exfoliating-Deep-Pore-Scrubber-with-Mist/163705180433?hash=item261d96d111:g:-mUAAOSw9Xlc6LAe
… so this really is a Meh (or is that meh?) bargain …
@lljk Since around 2005.
@Hanky @lljk @cinoclav I find the “Newegg Marketplace” really annoying. Is the part I’ve just found coming from Newegg in a few days, or from China in a few weeks?
Yea, you can filter it out, but that’s one more unnecessary step.

@blaineg @cinoclav @Hanky @lljk
And Amazon warehouse deals is any different?
Sometimes people buy the wrong part. Sometimes they use it, find a better deal, or are laundering gift cards into cash.
The subject of Sunday would be a great marketing opportunity, and we shop at Meh selling women products.
this is what is -> https://www.amazon.com/Face-Non-Surgical-Rejuvenation-Scrubber-Infuser/dp/B06XSTQS5Z
but I think this!along with fan and hose for the mist will work the same
Just got mine in the mail this weekend and decided to try it out this morning. I am a bit underwhelmed.
I seriously do have a very strict facial schedule, so I do not have much in the way of dead skin cells, black heads, etc (yuck).
That said, this tool did not seem to grab ANYTHING. I am thinking this was a waste
