My speakers are in and I tested one. It seems to work just fine… but holy shit. Every time you turn them off, when you turn it back on it defaults to ONE HUNDRED FUCKING PERCENT VOLUME, INCLUDING THE TURN-ON SOUND EFFECT.

@vernonshanker It needs to be charged. Make sure the two metal bits on the speaker are lined up with the ones on the dock. It’ll have a red light on the speaker when it’s connected properly. I ran into this yesterday when I was trying to see how it sounded right out of the box.
Not a good product. If left on it will start beeping randomly as if the battery is dying or something even though it is plugged into an outlet. Have to shut it off and turn it on when I want to use it. Not convenient since I was planning to use it with Alexa at all times.
Not sure if this will be helpful to you, but you can force the speaker to stay on indefinitely. As long as it’s being fed audio (even an mp3 of complete silence on a loop, nature sounds, or a web stream at zero volume), it will stay on. It’s only when it goes X minutes without any audio does the auto-shutoff happen.
I kept mine on for 12 hours straight (silently) just to test it. And it was still connected. Probably more trouble than it’s worth though!

So the box does say HIFI Stereo, but it is NOT stereo… sounds ok… haven’t tested speaker phone but it is fine for podcasts and casual music listening.

Just turn the speaker on, once the ear splitting sounds stop it will be flashing red/blue or is blue/red? Anyhow, open your cell phone and go to your Bluetooth, have it search for nearby devices and tzumi will be found. Then click connect to this device. Thats it, no code needed.

So I got around to opening this thing…
So the box does say HIFI Stereo, but it is NOT stereo… sounds ok… haven’t tested speaker phone but it is fine for podcasts and casual music listening.
Despite the BLUETOOTH 4.2 listing… no aac support… but to be honest with a speaker that sounds like this you likely wouldn’t notice.
Charging it up and tossing it my pile of quick gifts… I was far more popular when I gave away JBL OnBeat Minis… people would really comment on those as gifts… these bluetooth speakers don’t seem to have the impact.
@thismyusername I do agree that the startup noise volume in combination with the pitch of a couple of those notes make it very obnoxious.

Worked fine for about 5 weeks, now will no longer charge. I have kept other orders with minor problems,but will find out if meh honors its warrantee with this one.

Just turn the speaker on, once the ear splitting sounds stop it will be flashing red/blue or is blue/red? Anyhow, open your cell phone and go to your Bluetooth, have it search for nearby devices and tzumi will be found. Then click connect to this device. Thats it, no code needed.
