Oh, most wise of all communities I need help please. Where to purchase a TV sound bar with subwoofer and bluetooth. I want quality but I don’t want to spend more than 300
@leland I’m not in the market for one but I have a question about the one you recommended. It’s a 2.1ch Sound Bar, so isn’t that right, left and sub woofer? If so, most TV programs are in at least 5.1 and a lot of the dialog (talking) is in the center channel. Wouldn’t the 2.1 be missing that dialog? I know with my old 5.1 system I raise and lower the center channel sometimes to get it to be at a level even with the conversations happening in the right or left channels. Just wondering if you are ever watching a show and can’t hear the people talking with this sound bar?
@Limewater For the given use case (A TV sound bar), the sound quality difference between wired and Bluetooth will be negligible to almost nonexistent for the program material being played through the speakers. Not too much critical listening going on while watching TV shows or even movies, and Bluetooth audio quality has come a long way since it was first introduced.
@Limewater It’s kind of amazing how bad built-in LCD TV speakers can be these days, and I’m rather forgiving in that regard. When I started using the 55-inch Hitachi Roku TV in my bedroom for a while, I was so used to the sound from the 2010 50-inch Samsung plasma in the living room that it felt like I was listening through plugged ears! It was that bad…
I want to cable it and have the bluetooth option for my phone and desktop to link to it

@Kyser_Soze @leland Most 2.1 systems combine the center channel into the left and right speakers.
The first thing you should probably ask yourself is why you want bluetooth. It will have a negative impact on audio quality.
@Limewater probably because they would like to connect their phone and/or iPad as well in order to play music.

@PooltoyWolf That’s a fair point. I was probably being kind of knee-jerk, and had forgotten just how bad standard TV speakers are these days.
