@mellowirishgent One of the first few lines of their 90 day warranty is “No warranty on batteries”, so be careful with this one. That being said, I still may end up with one of these.

@hchavers I’ve been trying to convince my husband to let us hire a house cleaner for years. The bad news is he didn’t like the idea. The good news is that it turns out he does more of the house keeping than me anyways.
@hchavers I don’t think it eliminates the work - it just adds a level of indirection. You (likely) had to work for the money to pay the maid.
That said, I agree with (and practice) that approach.
@hchavers It significantly decreases the amount of time you have to spend bent over, which is no small thing if you have back problems. Using one of these I can put the lid down on the toilet, put a cushion on there to help with my back pain, and clean most of the shower while sitting down.
Just because it doesn’t help you doesn’t mean it’s not extremely helpful for others.

I think both would actually still work but only for a few minutes given the age of the battery. Not for heavy-duty stuff but really good for cleaning cars/rv trims, like window trim and stuff. Where in my climate, moss tends to grow if neglected.
Honestly I don’t know why Milwaukee doesn’t make a compact M12 version of that. Ryobi does have one that uses their 18V battery system, you can buy it at HD (I think there are two models). But with the 18V battery it’s a bit bigger and clunky, and too expensive at $69 tool-only for what it is.

As far as I know, nothing else has been made that takes that weird locking triangular mount system, which actually worked very well. I was searching for some adapter I could use with a drill or something to make use of my old Scumbuster attachments. I suppose somebody clever might 3D-print one, in which case I’ll probably buy it. Or buy a printer and get the file.
@monotoo One aspect to consider is that a drill is unlikely to be waterproof. Definitely an issue with a corded drill, but even with a cordless drill, there will be a risk of shorting something out if it gets wet.
@monotoo@narfcake and my drill is pretty heavy duty, aka heavy. Makes it tough to do funny angles. But I do have some of those brush attachments for my drill I use for only heavy duty scrubbing jobs. I wish this Meh brush used AA batteries you could just replace, I’ve had some bad experiences with rechargeable batteries on cheap items.

In this same spirit, the job of someone cleaning a tub, or tile with a cleaner & water is to also keep the cleaner & water off him & his drill. That’s not hard, unless 1 just does Not know what they’re doing, And using a corded electric drill is just asking for a jolt of reality!!

I…actually own one of these? They are ok; not that powerful but decent at cleaning the tile floors/walls in my shower. Wife bought it but I’m pretty sure we spent a bit bit more than $20 for it.
@haydesigner To be fair, your toilet will be clean. You just have to wipe down the walls and then jump in the shower afterwards to clean up the resulting flying debris. You may also want to floss to be sure you didn’t miss a spot although I suspect you’ll taste it if you did.
@Kyeh I use to use the same brush about 98% of the time, and after a year I bought a whole new set for dirt cheap on Amazon. I have since used the same one from the new set, and then I started using a different style (which at that point I had 2 of) and I am still using the first one of those. I also still have my old favorite ones, and I CAN still use them but the brushes obviously aren’t as strong as they were when newer.

Okay so this thing shows up on our porch… not in a plan brown wrapper… so I grab it quick & toss it inside. My wife was walking behind me when I was checking Meh & said “buy that!” & bam, oh god what did I just do.
She’s busy unboxing it & asking me if it needs batteries… heck if I know I didn’t read the write up on it. She proceeds to assemble it behind me while I was working & suddenly I hear it running, turn around to look & BAM she shoves it into my NECK! Which of course makes be yell OUCH CRAP STOP THAT. She’s giggling away saying “oh don’t be a baby, the bristles are soft!” The she tries it on her own neck & says “ouch! That does hurt”. Looks like replacement heads are about $20 a set from several sources. May want to get more than one to start with (plus I wonder if you can use 2 extensions at one time to increase the reach for outside, like siding etc. Though that may have too much flex to be very useful. )

Mine won’t stay charged. When it does work, it won’t shut off and I have to take it apart to get it to stop spinning. Sigh…
