They never say what the elastic on the fitted sheet looks like, or how securely it will hold that sheet in place on the mattress. A set we got from The Great Northwestern Menace has the absolute best elastic ever.
It stretches a lot, but it also holds really well because the fitted sheet is designed to handle mattress-plus-topper combos up to sixteen inches thick without getting slack or baggy on one that’s half that height. By contrast, the pointless-pocket Kathy Ireland sheets have such thin and wimpy elastic that they are never tight on the mattress, which kind of makes the pockets extra useless.
More hard info, less fluff; that’s what we really want.
Did someone honestly think that a worn-in appearance in sheets would be a selling point?
Or was it that the same company once sold those “Egyptian 2000 TC” sheets which were neither Egyptian cotton nor 2000 thread count, but they fooled enough people who proceeded to use the whites cycle on their washing machine and totally f***'d these up and returned them?
These are crap. We are throwing them away after washing them one time. they are flimsy, wont stay on the mattress and are already starting to pill. if this was a retail store I would be returning them.
