@RiotDemon@tinamarie1974 egg noodles (cooked chewy), CoM soup and anything in a casserole, bake at 375 for 25-35 minutes… you can stop there or add some chopped onions or green beans or grated cheese on top.
I ended up cooking the ground beef in the pot, draining most of the fat out. Added the cream of mushroom soup, a few beef bouillon cubes, water, and seasonings. Stirred it around. Pressure cooked for one minute and then stirred it to break up the bouillon cubes. Pressurised for two more minutes and then added sour cream. Was yum. Plenty of left over for the next few days. Might freeze some.

That sounds like that other family favorite, “Hamburger Soup” - where you brown some ground beef, and toss it in a stew pot or crock pot with a bag of frozen veggies (peas, corn, carrots), add some beef broth, heat and serve.

@kdemo Years ago they opened Hannaford’s which is an upscale New England grocery chain here. Here is a tribal middle middle class county in the epicenter of the bible belt. Anyway the first year they were open they stocked a full parve aisle. Passover comes the have to unload the whole stock at cost they barely sold any of it. I bought cases of stuff I’m not supposed to eat for pennies on the dollar. I gained so much weight of the following 6 months.

(I am currently working on several boxes of St Patrick’s day cookies and cupcakes that I bought for 43¢ per box of a dozen). Freezers and the (once) ubiquitous meh foodsaver FTW

They just could never get adjusted to the fact that they are no longer hosting family dinners. They still insisted on keeping their Costco membership. I think if for no other reason than to have an excuse to go shopping. We kept telling them they didn’t need to keep buying so much. Now we’re kind of glad they did…

A childhood favorite of mine was always “Brown Gravy Stuff”. Egg noodles, hamburger meat, and brown gravy.

I scored one bag of thin egg noodles yesterday for my parents. The entire isle had this sad bag and there boxes of lasagne noodles.

What’s the big deal with egg noodles, I see a lot of people mention them? I never really eat them.
