@ParadisePete I thought that "Believe it or not" was orginally radio hit, then adapted to the show. This would disqualify it as a "theme" song.

@hchavers Nope. It was one of relatively few TV themes to be a hit record (compared to the large number of movie songs that do), but it was a theme song first before becoming a hit.

@TimWalter Peter Gunn is really and truly one of the great theme songs, and just a great song in general. If you have Amazon Prime, a soundtrack album is availble in Prime Music (also Mr. Lucky Goes Latin).
