My female 5 item mystery box arrived today, and I poured myself a fresh cup of haterade before I opened it.
Box was 12 x 9 x 10, and weighted 3 lbs, 9 oz. Expectations were low.
Imagine my surprise to find out that it didn’t suck!
- Freezable lunch bag, much more stylish that my current tote;
- Invigorating massage balls, that sadly, don’t vibrate, but should be useful;
- RadiantActive hat, scarf and glove set that I was too lazy to order a few days ago;
- Black sequined clutch bag;
- Instant eye shadow
I am most excited to try the eyeshadow. I thought they were cheesy when they were sold earlier, but I’ll be having surgery next week that will limit the use of my dominant hand for several weeks. I hope I can apply them one-handed. In a related note, I can barely open damn clasp on the clutch! Maybe it will get easier after surgery and therapy.
Anyway, 5 out of 5, would purchase again.

@Cerridwyn I like the reveal threads, but not if you are going to jump in every time and give us an “Aha, that is a female (or male) item!” I really think you have made your point here and that there will be a change with the next mystery boxes.
FWIW, I ordered the “male” box. I don’t wear makeup too often (skin allergy) and I think I have a better taste in jewelry than MorningSave. Also hoping for some “manly man” stuff for my shed. (Was that too sexist?)
@Trillian, I wish you the best with your surgery. Maybe you can hang out with us more while you are recovering?

I’m ridiculously happy with my five piece men’s box. It made up for the $30 box I bought last time.
I came home to a giant 17" square box.
4 piece wine glass set. It’ll replace the really ugly ones that I kept just in case someone wanted wine. Surprisingly not broken!
Road racer car track set. I forget what these things are called but I loved playing with them as a kid. Slot cars?
Another set of Bluetooth earbuds. Apparently you can never have too many. They sound tinny while listening to metal.
Solar/usb chargeable flashlight. Also has a lantern mode and a red emergency flash mode. Magnetic base. Hopefully the solar part works. So far the USB charging works. Also can be used as a measly 1200 mAh battery backup. Probably good for the car.
Rubbery phone stand that I’ll probably take to work since I have a sit down desk now or it says it can also hold tablets so maybe I’ll turn my old tablet into a digital photo frame.
For $9, seriously fucking thrilled.

@sammydog01 I set up a quick circle of my cars to see if they work. The set feels super cheap and it took some fiddling to get the cars to run, but it brought me immense joy.
I’ll eventually try some elevations.
I feel like I’m 6 again.

Received my 10 piece female box today and I am happy w the contents.
Since this seems to be an important designation, I have ordered male boxes in the past b/c at the time I was not impressed w the female type items offered for sale. This time I was and there was no one that forced me to order one way or the other. I was not offended with the way the boxes were designated.
As far as how I identify, I am a overweight person who identifies as skinny

I tried a piece of the gum, and it is awful.
But my wife just asked what the earbuds were, and it turns out she really wants them. -So win for me!!
I ordered the 10 piece boy box because I really didn’t need any of the girl stuff. And who doesn’t need another power bank or Bluetooth device? I thought about ordering the Radiant Active Gloves and Scarf, so getting that’s a win. I was surprised it’s baby blue, as it’s kind of a gal color, but it will do. I already ordered a set of 3 of the cooling towels (not orange), so now I’ll have 4. I don’t have a TV so the Save A Watt isn’t terribly useful. I’ll give the Power Gum to my coworker who devoured the box I got in a Fuko. Already have 2 sets of Rowkin Earbuds, so now I’ll have 3 sets. The JIT and the Sneaker thingy look interesting. If I knew the contents ahead of time I most likely wouldn’t have spent the 30 bucks, but that’s the chance you take with a mystery box.

@heartny Same box here. The JIT isn’t entirely useful as a power bank – its capacity is super low.
Aside from the gum and car charger, I’m pretty happy with what I got, though. Kinda curious to see how well the Save A Watt works.

@heartny this, I too got exactly this. Anyone know how to tell how charged up the sx powerbank is? It shows a battery indicator on the box, but can’t find anything on the charger. I keep hitting the on/off ? button and nothing happens and nothing lights up.

@BillThePoet Well, I don’t normally mention that I don’t have a TV, but it seemed relevant in this case to indicate the uselessness of an item in the mystery box. Among all the other useless items.
Ordered the 8 piece male box. Got a personal blender (seriously?), phone stand, palm 20oz tumbler, “plasma” lighter, bougi piece of scrap metal rebranded as a wallet versus a money clip, the crappiest usb wall charger from nordstrom rack (9.99 down to 4.99), women’s scarf/hat/mitten combo, and an orange cool towel.
Not mad, but that blender is pretty suspect as any real value. Even less than the scrap metal money clip. Oh well.

@hanzov69 I got the same. Lame they count a fidget spinner as one of the 10 pieces. That should count as a negative piece. Seems the 5 piece box was the way to go.

Maybe they counted the plastic air pillow as the 10th item. ¯_(ツ)_/¯ I’m actually a little excited about the glove/hat/scarf thing, 'cause I’m always cold, but I’ll probably be less excited when I actually try 'em on and find out they don’t fit.

@hanzov69 My 3 boxes had those exact items the Rowkin made them worth the purchase. Bought some for my son awhile back and he loves them so now I have a pair for myself and 2 for gifts.
The 10 piece girl box is pretty okay. Smoothie maker, wet brush, toothbrush, evening clutch, etc. Curling iron is very welcome.

Couldn’t find the hair spray or the sequin clutch on MorningSave. The personal blender advertised on Morning save said it comes with two bottles… Haven’t opened mine, but packaging seems to indicate just one. And we both appear to have received one toothbrush and one Wetbrush (instead of the 3-packs) and one pink phone stand (instead of two) So dividing those by the respective quantities, knocking $4 off the price for the blender, and guessing the sequin clutch would have sold for $25 and the hair spray for $5, it appears we did get the expected $120+ worth of MorningSave products.
Not sure if that facial massager is worth bothering with… Will try to see if I can get my stepdaughter to “steal” the phone stand and hair remover from me, she’ll probably snag the clutch instead (too) though. I’ve still got most of the 440 eyeshadows from a meh offering, nice to have a couple in a slightly different shade, but probably am going to be leaving most of them in my will. Previously bought the flat/styling/travel wet brush set, so will probably give the new brush to SD as well. Got the VioLife toothbrush once or twice in prior fukos… None have been used so far.
Hoping the blender bottle thing and the curling iron work well, and worth the $24 with extra VMP discount.
Ordered a 10-male box, then remembered I could use the 20% off VMP coupon so messaged morningsave to cancel the order, then ordered it again using the coupon. I got a response from morningsave a day or two later that the order had already been processed and couldn’t be cancelled, and my only option was to refuse the package upon delivery. I’m not usually home when packages arrive and didn’t want to hassle with it, so I ended up with two boxes.
Everything I got was already on someone else’s list so I won’t bother rehashing it, but the one thing that did irk me? Both boxes were exactly the same. And I mean exactly… right on down to the same color scarves, same color fidget spinner, same flavor caffeine gum, same color cooling towel.
I think I’m gonna follow @somf69 ’s idea and put my second set of earbuds on Craigslist or something to mitigate my losses. But the moral of the story here is only order 1 mystery box at a time, so you don’t double your disappointment.

I bought a $30 Mens box and I got a bunch of stuff that I would never personally buy, 2 power banks, cooling towel, plug that save watts from being used by the TV, a mini phonebatter back up, figit spinner and I bought a man’s box and I got a woman’s hat and scarf. The only thing that was good in my box was a pair of Rowkin wireless earbuds that apparently are selling for anywhere between $75 and $110 on eBay. So my decision will be to sell these on eBay for $65 and make $30 profit off of my bad $30 mystery box and use the rest for yard sale bait…

Ordered my daughter the female box and then 3 hours later came back and ordered her the male box. Got approx the same crap as everyone else-loved the male box-hated the female which only confirms my decision to order her the male one after I had already ordered her the female one. She had always been bugging her to order her a fucko aka IRK and hopefully this satisfied her urge.
I just popped in to say my box still hasn’t been delivered and I’m continuing to avoid this topic (and it’s tasty spoilers) until I receive mine.

I received my $30 men’s box this evening. Same as everyone else, of course.
The real saving grace for the box was the Rowkin Charge wireless ear buds (space gray). I don’t use earbuds, but it’s a good gift item, and the last time they were offered for sale here (2/8) they were $34 (currently $49 on MorningSave).
Of all the items, probably the only thing I might use is the Save A Watt to turn off the Roku when the TV is off. I’ll probably toss the microfiber towel into my BOB.
The gloves/scarf/hat is off to the charity shop, and everything else is destined for the next Mehxchange.
Nothing in here I would have purchased, but there is certainly greater than $30 value here. I’ll do it again next time.
So I’ve been charging my JiT battery for about six hours now, and it’s still not doing anything. Flashlight will turn on when it’s connected to the charger, but won’t turn on when disconnected. Seems to be DOA.
It’s a shame because that light is pretty freakin bright for it’s compact size. I could get some use out of the device as a rechargeable mini flashlight. More’s the pity.
I wasn’t going to open everything, but remembering the failure rate of electronic devices I’ve purchased from meh in the early years, I guess I really should test everything.

@Cerridwyn massage balls and hats, scarves and gloves (depending on size and design) seem like they could be used by people of all internal or external gender indications or preferences. Or is that just me?

you are right about the massage balls, for some reason, they went right out of my brain. i missed that.
the particular set of hats/scarves/gloves is definitely designed for a woman. I’m sure there are men that would use it, but … in general that could be too.

I’ve never seen those massage balls on Morningsave or Meh, and I feel minorly betrayed! I would totally buy those if they were on sale.
Mine still shows up as “On Its Way to USPS”, so I guess when it will show up is part of the mystery. Looks like I can bet on getting a blue hat and scarf though.

Seems mostly everyone got the same contents with 1 different item. I ordered one of each box and got the same that everyone else is posting. Kinda sucky… but the products are not terrible. Besides the wall USB charger.
Against my better judgement, I tried a piece of the Blast! PowerGum - Mango. There was a brief hint of citrus, then mostly what tasted like ground-up aspirin. These are legit nasty.

Phew. I managed to avoid this thread until my 8pc male box came in. It was ok. The 5pc was definitely more worth the price.
I find it hilarious that they sent the small gloves (scarf/hat set) in the male box. My hands are tiny and they just fit.
I’m happy about my electric lighter. They light incense sticks just fine.
The palm tumbler is welcome.
The mini blender is good for protein powder I suppose versus my giant ninja.
The wall charger… I guess you can’t have too many?
The wallet thing… I personally have no use for.
The phone stand was the same one that I got in the five piece box.

Phone stand is useful, might use the tumbler for my road bourbon (kidding, no DUIs here!), the cooling towel will come in handy, not sure about the blender but who knows? The RadiantActive stuff doesn’t make sense for FL and the lighter won’t work on what I need it for, so meh. But, all in all, worth it I guess!
@sammydog01 they are fun. They make an annoying noise when lighting. Terrible for jar candles.
@llangley I might actually use the gloves and such… Next year. I’m afraid all the cold days are behind us unless we get another freak cold snap. Winter is my favorite season in Florida.
The blender wouldn’t personally be useful for me, but since I make protein shakes for my mom, and they are impossible to blend, this might be easier. I don’t like to dirty my giant blender for 8oz of liquid.
